This isn't smart they already have a young/improving player in Anthony Morrow who can shoot the 3 all day?

I don't care about 16.6PPG. If he's not someone who's going to attract some other talent to come play with you, I don't want him on my team. Granted, the Nets aren't my team. But if the Pacers had interest in him, I'd throw a fit.

Dude is just not worth the money, on the decline, hinders rebuilding efforts. If you lose Deron, you're stuck w/ Pau and his contract, and he's not capable of being anything more than a 2nd/3rd wheel respectively.

You can throw complete BUMS (see current Nets minus Deron) on the floor and someone will average 16.6 PPG. It's just not someone who can carry the team. If Deron is not wanting to resign after the season, let him walk, go young, try to build through the draft.

        Poor Nets.

Man once you're in a deep hole, it's tough to dig out of it.

Yea, good point you changed my mind i'd rather take my chances in FA, and hope Mavs don't end up signing Deron.

Korver can't put it on the floor like Allen nor can Korver play defense like Allen. And it's not like Allen is some defensive demon, it's just that I worry about Korver if he's out there guarding a scoring wing. I know the Bulls have solid team defense and crisp defensive rotations BUT what happens if Boozer is on the rotation when Korver's man blows right by him. I've noticed in a couple of Bulls games that Thibs doesn't keep those two on the court together too long.

And I'm assuming that the other guy who plays like Allen is Hamilton. BUT as stated, he can't stay on the court.

Boozer is rarely in at the end of games anyway. Gibson would be in there defensively.

I see what you guys are saying. I just don't value Allen's services as much. I guess agree to disagree.

Obviously if they decide to make that deal, I'll be happy to have him on our team, but I will be really let down that Butler would gone, if that is the case.

Its Jimmy Butler man... this is akin to the Amare for JJ Hickson argument

There will be a million other Butler's to hit the NBA

                        I tend to agree

                        BUT

                        1. Amare was never on the table for JJ
                        2. Amare was much younger than Ray Ray is now
