He was a Guard, man.
MarC Jackson was not on the other hand. But I do remember him having a solid but nothing special NBA career though.#RespectTheCultureComment

A seemingly minor move but the Mavs waived Sean Williams today. Kind of sad to see him go, he had that game the day after Christmas where he came in and gave some great minutes for the Mavs and ended up puking on the bench because he went so hard. But after that he gave a mediocre performance in OKC, got sent down to the D-league and only came back up due to injury, and in his time, he hustled but just didn't show a lot and lately with Haywood out he hasn't even gotten any time. Chances are if he doesn't get signed by another team he'll sign with the Texas Legends, the Mavs D-league team, again.
What's more interesting is this frees up a roster spot for the Mavs, some think that the Mavs want to use the spot to pick up another true center as Brandan Wright is really a 4 and Ian Mahinmi is undersized for a 5. Some think we might pick up a more versatile guy like Andres Nocioni, I don't know, but I can't imagine we spend the rest of the year with only 14 guys on the roster.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

I've always thought he'd be a good coach. I remember when the Knicks hired D'Antoni over him, I was so pissed.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
With the Los Angeles Clippers in free fall, tensions are high in the club's locker room, most notably in the relationship between coach Vinny Del Negro and his players, according to several sources close to the situation.
"Vinny has lost the team," one source said. "They don't want to play hard for him."
With the Clippers having lost 11 of their past 18 games to turn this once-promising season into a mess, Del Negro's job security would certainly seem to be in jeopardy. As it is, Del Negro is in the final guaranteed season of his contract. The Clippers hold a team option for next season.
Most of the players, according to sources, believe it's time for a change. They cite the uncertainty of Del Negro's rotation as a major problem. With the front office adding several players to the roster throughout this shortened season -- Reggie Evans, Kenyon Martin, Bobby Simmons and Nick Young -- plus Eric Bledsoe's return from injury in February, players' minutes have fluctuated from game to game.
For instance, in one four-game stretch this month, Bledsoe played 6 minutes one game, 16 the next, then 4 minutes, then 17. And while starting at shooting guard, Randy Foye has played 35 minutes on some nights and 14 or 16 on others. This week, he lost his starting job to Young and did not play a minute in Tuesday's loss to Indiana.
Beyond that, players have complained that Del Negro's offensive and defensive schemes are too basic and predictable and they say he plays favorites when handing out criticism, according to the sources. They say while he refuses to harshly criticize stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, he does not hold back in jumping on the team's lesser players.
"That's a big problem," one player said. "The best coaches jump on whoever deserves it, no matter who it is."
After beating Miami, Oklahoma City, Orlando and the Los Angeles Lakers en route to a 19-9 start, the Clippers, who have an 11-13 record since Chauncey Billups went down with an Achilles injury, have fallen to the fifth seed in the Western Conference and are just two games ahead of ninth-place Utah

Vinny lost the team? Sounds like they replaced D'Antonis name with his and ran the story. We know how that one ended.

Heat interested in Ray Allen for the next season?
Rivers said he believes Garnett’s preference would be to return to Boston. “When he doesn’t think he can help a team, he’d stop playing,” Rivers said. Allen’s free-agent options are up in the air. The Miami Heat are expected to make a strong run at signing him this summer, one league source said. “First of all, the team has to be willing to have me back,” Allen said. “Then you have to look around to see what’s acceptable and who is capable of having me on the team and then you go from there. It’s hard to really say.”
But whatever.Last edited by Nathan_OS; 03-22-2012, 09:09 PM.PSN: MajorJosephxComment

He plan on signing for the minimum then? Cause that's the only way it'd even be possible.Comment

I know y'all hate the Clippers, but I'd love to see Ray land there next year. He'd make them a legitimate contender.Comment
