Remember Bynum is suspended for the first 5 games of the season

I believe the Suns can part with Vince Carter, as his last year is not fully guaranteed. That's why it was an OK trade to me to begin with. They got Gortat and can rid themselves of Carter.

If there is any god, please let the Bucks re-sign Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.

I'm expecting the Bucks to at least make the post season, hopefully they can keep Luc, and he doesn't flame out after getting paid.

Between Philly, Indy and MIL, it's gonna be a dogfight for the last two seeds.

It'll also be very intriguing to see what Orlando does. I still have them in the playoffs regardless... but it seems like they're in a strange position.

Thing is he didnt have any injuries... he only missed games from the above stated problems...overstacked roster, management issues, etc...

For the most part the guy has a pretty solid bb IQ and can pass with the best of them. He could easlily help any contending team but I know many people didnt watch the Pistons anyway, it was just a cluster of a mess

i think T-Mac had solid year in Detroit

If anything he proved he can be a valuable player off the bench for any contending team looking to improve their depth as you said....

hell take for example OKC he would have been great as their primary ball handler in the last minutes of games because his basketball IQ is much better than R.Westbrook

now i think OKC is out of the question for T-Mac but he would definetly improve that teams late game basketball IQ

hell for all the talk about Turk down in Orlando they could have signed T-Mac to do the same things for a much cheaper price

He was never the primary ball handler just the only one on his teams that could make plays... not charlie ward, not bob sura, not david wesley, not luther head, not rod strickland, not andre barrett...and with this list of names you're probably starting to get the picture as to why

When I mean "primary ball handler", I'm not talking in the sense of like a point guard. As you mentioned, he was the one making the only person making the plays on his teams which in terms means that most of the plays that were drawn up were for him.

BUT my problem with McGrady has been his play off the ball. During his prime, he was only able to make plays when he had the ball in his hand. Rarely did I see him make plays off the ball. Even with the talent he had to play with, it was still possible for him to make plays off the ball.

If you're speaking of in ORL.. it was Doc's give it to him and move out of the way offense that never called for that..except when they had a short stint with Darrell Armstrong

In HOU they had 3 plays.. PnR, pass it into Yao and drive and kick

I would like to see how he plays off the ball as well in a system where there are some pretty good players that can knock down shots because as it was, there were always guys who either couldn't knock down shots or couldn't really make plays for themselves or others sadly.

Would be indeed interesting, but too bad his prime is gone, or even his best year may be gone.

That would be an interesting move and would also give them two very good defenders in Battier and Thabo.

I don't think battier would do much for that team. It wouldn't be a bad addition, but I think they'd be better off spending their money else where

In the end, OKC doesn't need to spend money, anywhere. Battier would definitely be a great pickup, but he isn't the answer.

For as "great" as a coach Scott Brooks is made out to be, that offense is pretty dinky. I imagine the only thing we will see in OKC that makes a difference this year is...

- Brooks adding a few wrinkles into their offensive game plan
- Brooks utilizing Harden more often and effectively
- Westbrook continuing to develop his decision making.

Without those three things, OKC faces a similar fate.

Depends how much they get him for.

If it's for like the vet's minimum or something around that, then it's a low risk/high reward type of move or at worst, a lateral move and if it doesn't work out then they could just cut him without taking too much of a cap hit. But again, that depends on how much they get him for.
