For those holding out hope on JJ Barea-to-#Knicks, it's not likely he'll take room exception (2x$2.5m). So may be time to move on. #fb

well i can't speak for the rest of the league but Kobe looked very ordinary vs Kidd and Marion

So maybe i should re-phrase that he won't be taking over many games vs Dallas which is all that matters to me

But i'd still be shocked if Kobe shows up this year with a 1st step that allows him to get all the way to the basket....maybe he's the one guy that can defy father time who knows

That won't happen, because Deron Williams has already stated he isn't signing an extension with the Nets THIS YEAR. He wants to become a FA so he can get more money. However, he also said that doesn't mean he's leaving the Nets.

Basically, he wants the opportunity to get paid. I wouldn't be surprised if he stays with the Nets, especially if they get Dwight. The Mavs will have to wait till next summer to make a run at him though.

As far as I know, he has an arthritic index finger and a bad knee. The dude's body is breaking down. I'd be more concerned about the Thunder and the Grizz at this point because honestly the Lakers' window is closing, and your Mavs exposed that.

It's gonna be satisfying to see your team bounced out like they had been all too many times in the very first round of the playoffs.

PS ZB9, you're good peoples, but your homeboy has been talking out of his behind a bit too much since you guys won. Hope you guys enjoyed your fluke season.
              LOL!

Come on man even if dallas had brought their entire team back do you really think they were going to repeat?

Telling me they aren't going to repeat isn't some breaking news to me...it's not like they were set up to be some kind of dynasty they needed to win a championship before Dirk retired and they got that ring for him

I'm a realist i didn't expect any long term dynasty our starting is PG 38 our 2nd leading scorer is a 6'2 34 year old undersized SG who shows up every 3 years for the playoffs

So you laugh on when an aging team like Dallas doesn't repeat won't hurt me one bit because Dirk got his ring and along the way he helped blow up the Lakers and remind the world that he's still better than that overrated Pau Gasol.

Pretty sure Kobe is solely referencing to the fact that Cuban complained the trade was unfair, only to turn around and happily take Lamar Odom for a bag of invisible money. It's like accusing someone of stealing then turning around and doing the same yourself. Fairly certain Kobe "understands" the whole veto/New Orleans thing (just a guess).

Yep, he'll be in Minnesota. Shoot, dishing it off to Kevin Love, Michael Beasley and Derrick Williams ain't half-bad.

Kobe knows that we know he can't get to the rim no more...

Paul was the guy who was going to get to the rim for LA and Dwight was going to be their new Shaq while he cruised his way to another ring

Guess what Kobe you want another ring then you need to show us you can take over games again without the help of a Super Team built around you...

Your getting Dwight and if your the great Kobe Bryant that's all you need right?

Kobe predicted before last season started that Dallas worried him the most in the West....Surprised to see LO go there. If they can some how hold on to JJ and get Dalembert or another serviceable big they will be right back in the mix imo.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Why does Kobe even need to get to the rim? You act like he's Lebron and he needs to drive and dunk in order to add to his PPG career average. He doesn't.

Kobe Bryant has the best footwork in the league. One of the highest BBIQ's. Can read a defense and adjust accordingly. Is the best non-big in the post (and is consistently better than most bigs "post" games). Has one of the best mid range jumpers. You think Kobe needs to "get to the rim" to win a title? Sorry, that aint' flying.

Lakers never needed both Dwight and CP3. The only catch in all of this was losing Lamar Odom, almost for nothing, because of the botch job by the league (the same botch job I believe that stopped Lakers from landing both, but that's for another day).

Paul definitely would have gotten to the rim, but more importantly, Kobe would have been able to work his offensive game at a much more efficient level, while not having to handle the ball. I didn't like the Paul trade without Dwight, personally, because we lost our entire depth at the 4.

But Dwight and Paul are once in a generation superstars, and if you have a remote chance of landing them both, you have to. Guess it's Mitch's fault for wanting to try and accomplish this craziness since he has the "Lakers" name attached to him.

You keep going on and on about how the Lakers are done, Kobe apparently is a scrub who didn't just get the most time away to heal from basketball he has -ever- had (while also undergoing a unique knee procedure and treatment), and (good lord can't believe I'm saying this) Mike Brown appears to have a more efficient offense in the works that Kobe says he spent -all- off-season learning (inside and out according to Kobe).

I know it's easy and trendy to hate on the Lakers (I have to repel it non-stop), but don't let it confuse you. Kobe played a great season and the Mavericks caught the Lakers. It happens. Lose a playoff series after 3 straight Finals and 2 rings and suddenly your team is washed up? Common NBA sensationalism at it's best, as usual.

And you think Kobe/Dwight is the only thing that Mitch is positioning? Please. And if it was? I'd still be excited to see Kobe and Dwight tear through the league.
