Nah, Thunder have to be the leaders. Didn't lose anybody to free agency, and had everyone under contract except for Daequan Cook to begin with. How often do you see a team not lose a SINGLE player? Thunder could contend for best record this year, IMO.

You have to remember they are a older team...If they get in a situation like last year when they had to play a stretch without Dirk and Butler that could easily hurt them in a shortend season with 20 back to back games.

I hope your right but i think a 3rd-4th seed is pretty realistic considering the amount of change over aswell

Well I guess that sort of settles it then. Stern must be feeling the pressure.

That is haywood's only knock on defense he's not quick enough to defend the PNR and the Spurs exploited that the year

He's a good 1 on 1 defender but teams with speed can kill Dallas without Chandler

So i don't think they will be as good as last year and OKC could represent the West IMO depending on Westbrook's maturity
I think they will be better relative to whom is out West now. LA got weaker, and they already got swept by you guys last year.

OKC will be a year better no doubt. Everyone else? A year older.

Thunder and Dallas are 1A 1B, but give me Dallas just because of Dallas' vets. But to me they are neck and neck no doubt.

Very true, but honestly I don't see anyone finishing with a higher record except for OKC, regardless.

How well the Thunder do will depend on Westbrook and how he plays. You pretty much know what you are getting from everyone else every night and Westbrook proved to be the NBA's version of Two-Face(He can play within himself and be a hero or take a plethora of bad shots and turnover the ball enough to become the Thunder's villan).
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

DAL has made great acquisitions, but their defense doesn't scare me at all.... They will miss Chandler

                      I disagree.

While Westbrook's evolution is important, James Harden might be more crucial to their success. If you remember the reason Westbrook was taking a lot of those shots, were because Durant was being face guarded a majority of the time. If they can get Harden to be a consistent scorer in the starting lineup?

                      Westbrook + Harden + Durant?

They will be tough to run with.

Potentially 60-70 points combined right there, if Harden get's consistent.

Teams would have a hard time trying to contain all three.

I feel like Bron and Durant will be on a tear this season... They got it in during the offseason...

I bet they are neck and neck for MVP

I agree somewhat Rose ,but how many games did you watch where you were caught saying to yourself what the heck is Westbrook doing out on the floor compared to Harden? Harden is important as well but Westbrook's mindset imo will play a much bigger factor in how far they go and team chemistry. I wouldn't say all the erratic shots Westbrook put up last year were because of Durant's coverage through out the season either. A lot of them were just ignore Durant or the play Jack-ups imo.

You might just be referring to the playoffs. Didn't have many of those moments in the regular season.

It's easy to stop one guy and make another one beat you, but with 3 perimeter threats on the floor at one time, you can't do that.
