Gallo broke his left thumb and will be out 4-6 weeks. Makes that Chandler re-signing all the more important now.

Agree he can player coach but it would have to be a special situation. Dudes come and go, he'd need a team willing to listen, and he'd need a team that gives him a reason to care. Just don't think that all comes together 20 some games before the post season.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Two things with this. First of all Scal isn't just a side show act. Dude can actually play and the little bit of time he's given he's shown that. He knows how to play the game. He knows the right plays to make out there and has legit bball IQ and serves the player/coach role on the team well. Secondly nobody who's on the end of the damn bench is playing anyway so does it really fricken matter if he's there or not? Someone with some athletic ability? You act like dudes at the end of the bench are going to be getting eight or nine minutes from way down there or some **** lol. Leave Scal alone man, he doesn't hurt the Bulls in any way.Comment

We don't need a player/coach role. This is the 2nd year in Thibs system with virutally the same roster. He serves no purpose other than to get a rise out of the Bulls fans at the end of games so they can chant MVP when he touches the ball.
Yes, it's a side show act.Comment

Who cares? In what does he hurt the team? Guys like Scal are great for chemistry and there's nothing wrong with a fan favorite. If he was getting time over someone better I could understand it, like Brian Cardinal sometimes does here in Dallas, but from what I've seen Scal only plays due to injury or in garbage time.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
We already have a bench warmer. Seriously there's been guys at the end of the bench that pretty much do nothing since the beginning of basketball time. What exactly does Scal take away from the team being there? So we get rid of Scal and sign a new guy to sit his *** on the bench every game and not get any playing time? Dude is a vet who provides leadership to the guys and more importantly than what 1Rose likes or not the actual Bulls players want him there and like him. People literally bitch about everything.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Does the 12th man of a team really matter? OK, so they get a better player than Scal to fill the 12th man role, is that gonna improve the Bulls chances of winning the title...
Whether Scal is there or not, it doesn't matter. Fact is, Scal is gonna be there for at least the rest of the season. Instead of worrying about who's gonna replace Scal next year, how about replacing our often injured 2-guard?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Come on dude, you know I didn't say that they cheer for him because of that, I'm talking about why he's important to the actual players on the team. If he's popular with the team that has the best record in the NBA, WHO ****ING CARES?NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Just so we're clear, we know nobody said it wasn't a side show right? I pretty clearly said it wasn't JUST a side show act because he actually can play. People legit wanna see the dude actually do well. When he missed that shot against Indiana, the roof would have blown off the UC if he made that and it's not simply because he's a side show, people wanna see him succeed. Is there some laughing at him in the whole thing? Of course there is cause he's a white dude that looks like Jackie Moon out there, but they also know he's a good guy and YES they do understand what he does for chemistry because even Derrick and the other guys are up out of there seats like giddy fans watching Scal play. Hating on that is just being ridiculous.Comment
