Ron Artest, Metta World Peace, take your pick. Either way, you know what you think you're going to get when you have Ron Ron on your team. Gritty wing defense, spot up three ball, tough player. And you do get all of that. In portions. Once in a while. The Los Angeles Lakers are in a curious position, having only a few days to consider what they will be doing with their roster prior to the season beginning. Would an amnesty assist them in their quest to make a move within their roster?

Are the Lakers better off with, or without, Ron anchoring the small forward position? With Ron out of the picture, is Matt Barnes a better look? I'm not sure the Lakers would be so quick to amnesty him without having a solution at the small forward spot, and I find it hard to accept Matt Barnes is an upgrade. And what about Luke Walton? If he isn't “retiring”, then it just makes more sense to amnesty him and throw this all out of the window.

Who would take Ron, anyway? Answer... plenty of teams. For all of the sideshow that is Metta World Peace, he's been a non-issue off the court. With a league LITTERED with superstar wings (Lebron, Carmelo, Durant, to name a few), having someone you know can effectively defend those players, even if it is in small spurts, can be crucial. There would be a market for Mr. Peace.

    My Prediction:

    Ron ArtestMiami Heat
(Sometimes you have to, he'll be a Laker)
