    Re: NBA Off Topic

I thought this was pretty funny. Not a bad addition to the arsenal.

Kevin Durant is adding Dirk Nowitzki’s step-back jumper while jumping off the wrong foot to his repertoire.
Durant unveiled the move in a preseason win over the Mavericks on Sunday night.
“Yeah, he’s the originator,” Durant said laughing. “I stole that from him a little bit. I’m not as good as he is at it. But I’ve been working on it, and it was the perfect time for me to do that with the defender playing the way he was playing. I’m glad I made it. I thought it was going to be an air-ball.”

Durant glanced over at the Dallas bench as he trotted back on defense. He shot a sly smile at Nowitzki, who did not play but was dressed in warm-ups on the Mavs bench.

“I kind of gave a wink to Dirk because, like I said, I stole that from him, man,” Durant said. “He’s such a great basket-maker at that shot and he does it on every type of play, going to the middle, baseline. I’m just trying to perfect it a little bit like he has. It’s going to take me a long time but I’m working on it.”

      I see you, Dirk.

How in the world did Tits Gibson luck his way into Keyshia Cole?

And once again, the biggest mystery in the world still remains...how in thee blue hell did Sheldon Williams end up with Candace Parker? I'm almost convinced he had to drug her up to pull that off.

                    Dishonorable Mention:
TJ Ford (San Antonio), who like Tinsley takes too many shots, but is quicker and will undoubtedly alter his priorities under Pop’s stern guidance. Or not.
Jamaal Magloire (Toronto) has nothing left. In any case, he’s always been a bully who folds when he himself is bullied.
Gerald Green (Los Angeles Lakers) has wasted his All-Star caliber skills because of his profound immaturity and low basketball IQ.

The bit on Magloire is so true. What a bum. LOL

                              Interesting...

Kevin Durant has become the first beneficiary of the so-called 'Derrick Rose Rule'.

Durant meets the eligibility considerations by being named to the All-NBA first team in 2010 and 2011.

Had Durant not been granted the larger maximum salary, his 2010-11 earnings would have been $12,922,194 and his five-year extension would have totaled $74,302,616. By being granted the larger maximum, Durant earns an extra $2,584,438 this season and an extra $14,860,519 over the life of his extension.

As a result of Durant's new designation, the Thunder are also now over the salary cap.
