    No you're right he doesn't...

    He has 500 Million.

Rounding out the top five are two basketball greats: Michael Jordan ($525 million) and Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Jr. ($500 million), both of whom parlayed their time on the court into lucrative endorsement and business deals in retirement.

Magic should serve as an example to these players on how you make MORE money after your playing days.

Magic is an awesome business man and has made a killing since his retirement.

The Beverly Hills-based Magic Johnson Enterprises has AMC Magic Johnson Theatres in four cities, 31 Burger King restaurants in the Southeast, and 13 24-Hour Fitness/Magic Johnson Sport health clubs. In October 2010, Johnson sold his interest in 105 Starbucks franchises back to the company for an estimated $27 million.

Johnson owned a nearly 5% share of the Lakers, until its sale to Patrick Soon-Shiong in 2010. In March 2008, Johnson signed a multiyear marketing deal to help electronics retailer Best Buy Co. bolster sales in urban neighbourhoods

Heh, One of his Theaters is right around where I used to live at.

Kinda surprised it's in that location considering that the area(or even the Mall where it's at for that matter)ain't exactly top flight or even middle flight LOL.

He's known to put lots of his franchises in poorer neighborhoods. A lot of the franchises he has/had out here in L.A. are in or near the inner city.

                    Not all obviously, but many.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to their drive as competitors. Neither relied purely on natural talent (although they both had plenty). I can see why their business careers would be successful too, they don't accept mediocrity.

Magic would have even more money if he didn't have to put some of it into this:

                            Easy

He said people werent taking advantage of the opportinities in those neighborhoods and were afraid to invest in them, so he decided to do it, and it paid off big time... and quite fast at that... so what you see is done on purpose

I used to see him at the first theater just to visit and mingle with the people.... a whole mess of people the lobby following him around and talking to him

Not only that, but I really believe guys from that time were just more mature about things.. they went to college and came into a league full of grown men, so there was no time to play around

...the drive is definitely apart of it though, but they worked hard and built their names and brands up, it was not handed to them

Oh no, I agree that's why I said I understand why they're in these types of neighborhoods compared to your upper class, suburban area.
