Re: NBA Off Topic
Christie said that if the Nets didn’t want to stay in New Jersey, the state didn’t want them. He said the team spent the last two seasons in one of the country’s most vibrant cities and he sarcastically said they were leaving for Brooklyn.
“(The Prudential Center is) one of the most beautiful arenas in America they have a chance to play in, it’s in one of the country’s most vibrant cities, and they want to leave here and go to Brooklyn?” Christie asked. "Good riddance, see you later. I think there’ll be some other NBA team who may be looking to relocate and they might look at that arena and the fan base in the New Jersey and New York area and say, ‘This is an opportunity to increase our fan base and try something different.’ "
During their time in New Jersey, the Nets have compiled an NBA record of 1,186-1,634 (.421). They have reached the postseason 16 times and the Finals twice (2002-2003), losing both times.
“You don’t want to stay, we don’t want you,” Christie said.
2. This clown never attended a single game and never supported us one time, yet we don't want Jersey. Like I said, he's a clown.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic
I seen that mess. They also had some ***clown on there asking people in NEW YORK what was some of their favorite memories for the Nets.
It is what it is though but we'll see in a year.

Re: NBA Off Topic
Anyway,
from me going to a half empty cavernous Brendan Byrne arena to watch Buck Williams(!) lead one of the worst teams in the league, to Derrick Whoop-de-damn-do Coleman and Kenny Anderson, to watching Drazen shoot the lights out in said cavernous arena to J-Kidd fastbreaking the Nets through said damn cavernous arena, to Deron trying to work it out in the Rock, and all the random potshots the media takes, its been a ride here in the state...Now, off to Brooklyn to start the next chapter, and it doesn't change a thing. Still a Nets fan, still will be.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Some teams are just in the NBA so they can fill out the league in term of number of franchises.
Some franchises you know will never win anything.Redskins, Lakers, Orioles, UNC Basketball , and ND Football

Re: NBA Off Topic
Guy is pretty much right honestly. None of the guys actually suck in the context that they aren't good at the game of basketball or that they'd roll up to the local Y and get smoked because they are basketball stupid. We talk **** about JaVale McGee all day and how big an idiot he is on the court, but dude can still ball and would embarrass just about every one of us 100 percent of the time. However when people say someone sucks, it's usually in the context of their performance compared to other guys in the league. At least that's the way I see it.Comment

Yea so I mean he's right, but its common sense. I don't know why he felt the need to write that whole thing.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
