Only because they have CP3. Look at what CP3 has done in his playoff career with less.
Without Gay? Last year more than half the board was trashing they would be worse with Gay. Memphis is in the 20's in offensive ranking. That is not going to get it done through all four rounds.

I know what CP3 has done but has it been enough before? Plus if you think Vinny is leading this team to the Finals then I don't know what else to say.

Both Memphis and LAC are in it to make noise but neither have enough pieces to be legit contenders IMO.

    Chicago, Boston, Miami

    LAL, OKC, SA, Dallas

    And Dallas is borderline.

Dallas gets a chance only because they're the defending champs so you basically have to say they have a good shot, outside of Spurs, Thunder, Lakers and Grizzlies. Still not buying the Clippers until they prove otherwise and by that I mean do the samething next year because I've seen them have a one year run and go right back to crap, not to mention...they're the Clippers and history has shown that they're bound to **** up.

In the East, it's Miami, Chicago and Boston despite their age because you don't get "too old" 3 years in a row and still manage to play your best ball at the right time. My dark horse team is Indiana because they have the tools to make some noise along with the experience as well.

Indiana is a noise team no doubt and could be the Memphis of last year. They have a little bit of everything and depth which makes them a tough match up.

Not sleeping on CP3 at all because I know what he can do. It's the rest of the team I'm not too confident in, not to mention the fact that.....they're the Clippers.

No one's sleeping on CP3. Can the Clippers make some noise this year? Yes. Would I be surprised if they made the Finals? Hell yes. The roster, the coaching staff... I just don't see it. I'd be less surprised if they got bounced the 1st round then if they made the Finals.

                  Fair enough.

All I know is they have winning records against the Thunder, Grizzlies, and Mavericks.

The Lakers won the season series, but I honestly think they will beat the Lakers if they meet up.

This is the BEST team CP3 has been on with Butler, Blake, and DJ in the starting five. Randy Foye has filled in wonderfully for Billups and has all of a sudden become a knock down 3 point shooter.

Then their bench is actually pretty damn good with KMart, Mo Williams, Reggie Evans, and Nick Young. Bledsoe has been nice in spurts himself, bringing energy and hustle. But he probably wont see too much time with CP3 minutes going up in the playoffs. So they have some firepower off the bench. Certainly more than what most teams can claim.

The only team that I can say for certain will beat them is San Antonio.

                    And it begins.

RUMOR OF THE WEEK: If the New York Knicks don’t advance beyond the first round of the playoffs, I’m hearing they’ll make a major — repeat, major — push to lure legendary coach Phil Jackson out of retirement. With money being no object, the scuttlebutt is the Knicks brass may offer the “Zen Master” a four-year, $50 million deal.

Cause they're the Clippers East/The Knicks.

And don't flip out Knicks fans I know you guys have your two titles and four straight Finals losses back in the fifties and aren't anywhere near the level of pathetic that the Clippers franchise is/has been, but as far as boneheaded decisions and real irrelevance that's basically what the Knicks have been for the east coast. The only reason they've managed to stay in the public eye over the years is because of New York's status as the most overrated city on earth.
