Re: NBA Off Topic
Since he pretty much planted in people's minds that the lottery is rigged by even asking or insinuating the question, Stern's answer wouldn't have sufficed no matter how he answered.
If he explained people would just say, aw he lying, or aw he's full of it, or aw he know he's just doing damage control
In that sense he is saying its loaded... you dont agree?
I'd buy more of what ex is saying that he could have worded it better, but Stern could have handled that much, much better. Again though, this is the way he treats everyone. He takes this crap attitude. He did it when Dan Patrick asked him about the Phoenix suspensions against the Spurs that one year, he's done it when talking about the lockout and so on. It's uncalled for for a person in his position.Comment

I don't know what Rome intended to gain by asking the question like that though, just feeds into Sterns "cheap thrill" claim...
He wanted a reaction and got one...as he's done throughout his career lol...
If he was serious about digging into that issue there's about a million better ways he could've done it
Don't get me wrong though, Sterns an *** lComment

Re: NBA Off Topic
Stern is always going to give you the 1up when you ask him direct questions on subjects like that
Rome should've known better and asked differently, but since he went direct, so did Stern...touche'
Im not a David Stern defender though, so don't take it like that.. I was just telling you what he said the last time this happened...none of those guys can ever catch him slipping on the radio and they know it even though they try.Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic
Basically, Rome just got caught slippin and got what was comin.
Still doesn't excuse Stern though. He could have done without the personal attacks and I think Rome has cleaned up his act from the earlier days. He's a much better overall personality than when he started, so Stern was out of line for that.Comment

Didn't listen to the interview but Stern's response was hilarious especially since it was given to Jim Rome."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman
