How did Jim Rome plant in people's minds that the lottery is rigged? People were saying that as soon as the Hornets won the thing and that was long before this interview.

I'd buy more of what ex is saying that he could have worded it better, but Stern could have handled that much, much better. Again though, this is the way he treats everyone. He takes this crap attitude. He did it when Dan Patrick asked him about the Phoenix suspensions against the Spurs that one year, he's done it when talking about the lockout and so on. It's uncalled for for a person in his position.

I don't know what Rome intended to gain by asking the question like that though, just feeds into Sterns "cheap thrill" claim...

He wanted a reaction and got one...as he's done throughout his career lol...

If he was serious about digging into that issue there's about a million better ways he could've done it

Don't get me wrong though, Sterns an *** l

Stern is always going to give you the 1up when you ask him direct questions on subjects like that

Rome should've known better and asked differently, but since he went direct, so did Stern...touche'

Im not a David Stern defender though, so don't take it like that.. I was just telling you what he said the last time this happened...none of those guys can ever catch him slipping on the radio and they know it even though they try.

            Re: NBA Off Topic

Basically, Rome just got caught slippin and got what was comin.

Still doesn't excuse Stern though. He could have done without the personal attacks and I think Rome has cleaned up his act from the earlier days. He's a much better overall personality than when he started, so Stern was out of line for that.

So, Charlie V won't be playing for the D.R. this summer... coach Cal cut him.. well, damn.

The level of competition in international basketball has steadily improved over the past 20 years, to the point where various national teams can do pretty well without a big-name NBA star on board. That said, it's sure a big help … Continue reading →

Yeah I don't think there should be any love lost for either of these two and how they address people. Rome's question sucked... nobody cares bc it was towards Stern. Stern's response sucked... nobody cares bc it was toward Rome, lol.

Has the journalist been accused of such things or does Stern just throw that randomly?

That sounds pretty rude either way.

I heard a 9th grader made the team lol. Although, in my cynical mind I suspect a recruiting ploy, but per the topic at hand cmon CV, it's bad enough you couldn't even crack the lineup in Detroit, but the DR? smh
