They're going to be visible. If they weren't visible, they wouldn't put them on the jerseys.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: NBA Off Topic
The thing is my guess is it'd be closer to your first image, but it's a flood gate that can't be closed once opened which means the WNBA examples (that almost made me cry) may not be far behind. And even worse, the other sports may not be far behind either. It's the start of marketing Armageddon.Comment

Completely unrelated note. Good to finally hear from Derrick Rose. First time since his surgery.

Re: NBA Off Topic
I don't really care about the players wearing jerseys with an ad on it but it's ****ing ridiculous that they're going to put the ads on jerseys they sell to fans.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

So I suppose they want to kill their jersey sales in favor of advert money. I know I'm damn sure not buying a Nets or any other team jersey with company ads all over it.

Re: NBA Off Topic
On one hand you have fans that want every little detail on a real jersey... especially if you're not buying it to wear it. On the other hand you may have people that don't support one of the companies being advertised, and definitely aren't going to want to walk around and give them free marketing. In between are the people that don't care and the people that don't want to wear the crap.
If their smart they'll sell two versions, one with and one without.Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic
Right now it's only supposed to be a 2x2 patch on the shoulder, not "company ads all over it". I don't think it will be that bad, but I am worried that it could escalate to more and bigger ads covering the jerseys.Chicago Bulls

Re: NBA Off Topic
It's still dumb. Advertisements have NO place on jerseys. The jerseys should reflect the team and that's IT.Comment

Same. Looks like this is the last season to get jerseys because I'm not getting one to advertise anything but the team on it.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
