Kobe def sound bitter, I mean how many times has he brought up smush or kwame since 2006? He needs to let it go...

    edit: Just saw Smush responded...

“I’m lost for words. It makes me blush. For my name to still come out of that man’s mouth? It makes me blush,” he told Hard 2 Guard.

“The two years in LA were a blessing to me,” he said. “People who ask me how it was playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. People ask me how it was playing with Kobe Bryant. I said in 2008 that it was an overrated experience.”

“Basketball is a team sport. It is team-oriented. It is not an individual sport. It’s not tennis or golf, it is a team sport. When you are the star of the team, you have to make your teammates feel comfortable. You have to make them feel welcome. And he did not do that at all.”

“I had a workout with the Lakers, beat all the guards out for the starting position, earned a spot on the team. Midway through the first season, I tried to at least have a conversation with Kobe Bryant — he is my teammate, he is a co-worker of mine, I see his face every day I go in to work — and I tried to talk with him about football. He tells me I can’t talk to him. He tells me I need more accolades under my belt before I come talk to him. He was dead serious.”

“We’re teammates, we talk basketball on the court. [Our talks were] about getting him the ball pretty much.”

“On road trips, he traveled with his security guards. Those were the guys he talked to. On the team plane, he sat in the back of the plane by himself.”

“Whenever Kobe is happy, the Lakers are happy. Whenever Kobe smiles, the team smiles. They should be the Los Angeles Bryants.”

“The reason I wasn’t a Laker after my second year is because I didn’t bow down to [Kobe]. I didn’t kiss his a–. I wasn’t kissing his feet. Quite frankly, towards the end of the second season, I stopped passing him the ball. I stopped giving him the ball. I started looking him off.”

“The triangle is a team-oriented offense. If the triangle is run to perfection, everybody on the court can score an easy 15 points a game."

“Kobe Bryant says I’m the worst point guard, that I should have never made it into the NBA — he just frowns at the thought of me playing in the back court with him. Like Jay-Z says, people lie, numbers don’t. Just go to the stats.

“If I don’t deserve to play in the NBA, why am I third on all the stat sheets on the Lakers team those years? I’m top three in all the categories.”

I feel for Smush, he really had no reason to be thrown under the bus like that. Once or twice, OK. Years later? A bit much. Kobe is the ultimate a-hole and for mental midgets like Smush, it just simply is a recipe for disaster to team with someone like Kobe.

He seems like a nice guy too.

As far as Tracy McGrady goes, sure, let him into the Hall. Like I asked before, I wonder if he'll be the only guy in there to never advance to the second round. Hall of Fame is a ****ing joke

Hall of Famer Maurice Stokes never got out of the first round. Connie Hawkins never got out of the first round in the NBA. Both Players are hall of famers. So no he wouldn't be the only one.

I believe Smush -- Kobe's demeanor over his career makes what he says more believable.

              Doubt he's lying...

Imagine Kobe once he's done with the game... is he going to be another Shaq?

Also if Kwame had a pulse he'd give Kobe some love next time down the lane.

I don't want to hear Kobe commentating that's for sure. I have loved watching him play the game, but his "dramas" make it impossible to like him on a personal level.

Shaq I find somewhat entertaining as a foil to Sir Charles.

If only Kwame had a mean streak. I'm surprised more guys haven't rajabelled Kobe, like the Atkins of the world...

Not towards anyone, or any argument, but can we seriously stop saying "numbers don't lie" because they do. All the time.

I thought the saying went "Numbers don't lie, but they don't tell the whole story"?

Only way number do lie is if someone is using them with no context whatsoever.

What about Kobe Bean Bryant's life and career that we've seen thus far could possibly lead you to believe that?

Numbers don't lie, the people that use them do however.

                                Heeelarious

Members of the Spanish basketball team caused more than 11,000 euros' worth of damage to their accommodation in London's Olympic Village after losing the final of the competition 107-100 to the USA on August 12.

The incident was revealed by Dennis Hone, the chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority who also heads up the London Legacy Development Corporation, in an interview with The Guardian newspaper. Spain's players, according to Hone, "trashed their apartments."

The scene was observed the following morning by the Spanish Olympic Team's chief of mission, Cayetano Cornet, as the players were preparing to leave the Olympic Village. Hone said it was the only incident of its type during the Games, although apparently a Moroccan athlete broke a sprinkler system with a remote controlled airplane. The system subsequently fell through several floors, The Guardian reported.

Although the Spanish Basketball Federation claimed it had not received notification of the events, other sources said some players had been reprimanded for their conduct in what was apparently the aftermath of a rowdy post-tournament night out.

                                http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baske ... mment=true

Spain's basketball players have been slammed for 'trashing their apartments' following their gold-medal loss in the London Olympics to the U.S.
Manager Sergio Scariolo's team racked up more than $14,400 in damages to their two London 2012 rooms after the 107-100 loss, it was revealed Thursday.

The exact nature of the damage has not yet been confirmed, but the Spanish media has condemned the actions as "despicable" and "disrespectful".

And a source within the Spanish Basketball Federation, which has officially denied any knowledge of the vandalism, said: "The leaving parties are usually a regular thing when players finish a tournament. After living together for six weeks, preparing and competing, they have it. But it has never led to this."

                                http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-400_162-575 ... ss-to-u.s/

The Spanish basketball federation says it will investigate media reports that Spain damaged its Olympic village apartments following its loss to the United States in the London Games final.

The federation said in a statement that it hadn't received any "official" complaint regarding information published in the British newspaper The Guardian that the team had "trashed" its rooms after the defeat on Aug. 12.

It said it would "begin a process ... to clear up the facts regarding the incidents attributed to the selection's players."
