Also just for reference, the years that Dwight led the league in block also happen to be the second and third lowest BPG to lead the league in the history of the stat(2.7,2.9). In the 5 seasons where Shaq average 2.8 BPG or more the highs in those years were 4.1, 4.1, 3.4, 3.7, 3.7.

And I'm probably sure that there were more 7 footers in the league during those years as well.

But let the Dwight is the best-est center in the world now that he's in purple & gold love fest continue.

That's also true, There were better all around centers back then.

As for Dwight I'm sure many think he's Bill Russell now that he's a Laker. He'll probably end up winning 9 more DPOYs

Nah has nothing to do with purple and gold, cuz I'm clearly attacking Shaq's defensive credentials in the same discussion [Shaq is clearly my favorite Laker for those who have known me over the years]. Good try though.

As difficult as it may be for you to imagine, I am capable of giving props to other players from other teams, and I rarely really even talk about anything Laker related. Unless it has to do with someone making some outlandish comment.

Yeah, I was wondering how a "Laker love fest " was going on when all you were doing was comparing him to another Laker, lol

I'm not a Dwight fan either but he's not Nazr Mohammed

I don't know two-four. Dude really is acting like someone said Dwight was the best-est center in the world. It's not surprising from them I must say.

Reading comprehension I suppose is lacking.

That was hilarious when it got to this part of the story.

Lol really? We have to stoop to this level?

You just said this dude would of won 6-7 DPOY making him out to be the best-est defensive player ever seeing as no one has more than 4. I'm also assuming those 6-7 would be in addition to the 3 he has already right? smh

I mean, 2000-2006, it's not like the NBA was full of defensive players, nor was there any center that would have made him play man up outside of Shaq. I guess maybe Yao but...yeah, not much else.

I could see Dwight winning 4 DPOY awards in that time. 6 would have been pushing it though.

Forgot to ask this last night, but has Comcast always been under the NBC Umbrella?

Last night saw the new overlay package for CSN Chicago and it looked awesome, then I saw an NBA logo on the scoreboard in the corner.

Either way they look MUCH better.

NBC has been owned by Comcast since Jan 2011.
