Some people are really good at turning anger into motivation: Kobe is one of them....

Kobe was already coming back in the best shape in a long time, I think this makes him even deadlier..

      ...and again, anger for what?

      Once again its HIS fault

His kids life is about to change dramatically and people are talking about him scoring points... not this crap again

About the situation...we only know what TMZ tells us at this point, which I dont have the most faith in....

Divorces are messy, no matter whos "fault" it is, and alot of times they arent due to one party messing up, who knows what happened?

Either way, people cope with things different ways.....I play ball when im angry, upset, stressed....on a much larger scale, I can see him using it as motivation, as he has, and many athletes have before...see Tony Parker

Though I feel for his kids, this is the Pro Basketball forum, so people are going to think in terms of that, we can discuss how they cope in OS Neighborhood.

It could've been alot of things... could've been that paternity suit.. could've been the other girl who looks like Vanessa that that he was messing with

One thing's for sure, someobody definitely told her to wait until the the 10 year mark before she bolted because he just got schooled... maybe thats why he'll be mad

...either way, him trying to score alot of points as I said is meaningless on and off the court to prove he's mad at himself

Since this is the "TMZ Thread" for the NBA, I wanna hear more about this.

Other girl that looks just like Vanessa? Paternity Suit?

What else you know, Dre? LOL

As for TMZ, they may not be 100% accurate(and I take what they say with a grain of salt), but more times than not they're usually in the right neighborhood.

I don't see Kobe dropping 81 on the regular like he did on the Raptors in 04 but I don't see his play struggling either. If anything, it'd be in the TEAM'S best interest for him NOT to try and takeover any games, especially considering that the other teams aren't too far behind them and in some cases may be even better than this current Lakers squad as of now.

              Both good points

My girlfriend was railing on Kobe saying she's lot all respect, how can his teammates respect him, how can I support Kobe.

Wasn't sure how to respond, all I had was, 'Kobe is still Kobe, whats going on off the court is his business'.

I truly hope the details don't get plastered everywhere (in all honesty hope there aren't any to be had but obviously talk points that way as it stands). If they do, I wonder if it will bring Kobe back to the ground when it comes to support and endorsements.

Most women will always hate on Kobe because of the Colorado thing lol

If they do, I wonder if it will bring Kobe back to the ground when it comes to support and endorsements.
For his sake, I hope it's nothing more than the fact that they got tired of each other(which I can't see HOW that can happen LOL)and that it's nowhere near as bad as Colorado but unfortunately that'll be for the public to decide.

But yeah, I'm with you in that this thing does not need to get any more messy than it should but knowing the media nowadays, as soon as the Lakers lose a game you can bet the first question will be "So Kobe, is the divorce affecting your play?".

I like the Fly Wade 1's and the Lebrons look huge, like damn Nike boots. I like the style but when a regular dude tries them on they go half-way up my damn leg.

I don't like the xmas edition Kobe's but I love me some Kobe IV's. They are beyond comfortable and light.

Actually Pack the story came out when the Lakers went to ORL this past season in FEB if you remember, and at halftime he got served with the papers walking in the tunnel.. im sure its on youtube, but the chick he moved to italy to go away with the baby and paid for her living arrangements then she came back with the suit

Anyway, its not that I care but dont get off telling me its his business then using that same reasoning to tell me how ticked he's going to be and how he's going to go off on the court

One of his biggest issues has always been letting his personal life spill on to court, thats the problem... but hey I dont mind LA losing at all... if he does indeed want to be a chucker this year more power to him

These athletes kill me with this marriage business. I'm just a regular joe, but even I don't ever want to take that plunge. If I was living their lifestyle I'm sure my desire would be even less than it is now. I respect the institution and think you should be faithful if you do it, but you've gotta protect yourself at the same time. The fact that he didn't get a prenup is pure foolishness. I thought Kobe was smarter than that, but I guess he was a sucka for love at the time. Damn shame.

A $4 million dollar wedding ring? Different strokes for different folks, but no woman is worth that much money to me. I guess when you earn his type of cash you think differently than the average dude, but man, that could've been better spent.

So this chick is entitled to half of what he's built over the past decade, but she still wants spousal support? How much money do you need? It kills me that someone who had no part in earning that income is given that much in a divorce. Yeah he messed up, but it still doesn't seem right to me. You lose so much when a marriage ends.

Despite how I feel, I'm not really defending Kobe. I'm not gonna crucify him for cheating, but I'll also admit that it's his own damn fault that this is happening. He should've kept it in his pants and saved himself the headache. I feel bad for the kids.
