Kome was the epitome of a blackhole, tonight. How can still be so damn selfish knowing that his athleticism is declining and Bynum dominated last night? Pathetic and selfish effort by Kome and a reminder of why I despise him. I also see not being able to post-up as often is going to plummet his shooting percentage.

Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
Is what it is, every hoops fan knows this is what Kobe is deep down. Fitting that when he becomes the youngest player to 28,000 points, he goes 6-28. Story of his career, really. All the amazing has an equal disappointing side to it with Kobe. And he wasn't taking quality shots, by any means. Gilbert Arenas somewhere giggling at the television.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

That record wont even last seeing LeBron or even Durant's going to trump it anywayIs what it is, every hoops fan knows this is what Kobe is deep down. Honestly he's too old to be worrying about scoring a bunch of pointsComment

Not sure what humored me more, Beasley or Andre 3000.

Agree. Barring any craziness in their career, Durant and Bron are both primed to shatter that 28k mark, and likely in less seasons than Kobe.
KCAL 9's Bill Macdonald said this is the most field goals Kobe has ever missed. He's 6-for-28.
If there was ever a time for Mike Brown to prove to to himself, and the world, that he isn't a pushover to star players, he sits down with Kobe and has "that talk" with him. Seriously. The Lakers were in position in that fourth quarter to take it, even after the already laughable fga's from Kobe.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Sadly, in his mind that does seem to be true.
Next time I pop in 2K12, and he takes 30+ shots against me, I won't be so upset. Can't believe he has 13+ years in the league and his M.O. hasn't changed a bit. Lakers won't go far if Kobe doesn't buy into what Mike Brown is trying to install. Too bad he doesn't have anyone in the locker room that will challenge him and question his decision-making/shot-selection. Mike is in somewhat similar situation to Cleveland if you ask me. For his sake I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
It's not what's happening right now, yet, but part of me wonders if Bynum having 29/13 the way he did last night and creating buzz across the league left Kobe feeling slighted on his near Triple Double (9 assists 10 boards).
Kobe works best in efficient, quality shot, sets. He's been very efficient so far this season, so it was (half)surprising to see him turn into Chuck E' Cheese. 20 FGA's maximum for that guy, and that's if he's piling up buckets not bricks. There is no excuse for Drew only getting 10 shots.Last edited by Drewski; 01-01-2012, 11:04 PM.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
Even the Denver commentators (was watching on Altitude through League Pass) were pulling their hair out. "Why aren't the Lakers just dumping it down to Bynum every trip down, he's been dominating down low". Just craziness. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to know you're playing great ball and hardly ever get a chance to even TOUCH the ball. They aren't even passing it in to him, and it's not just Kobe (his 28 FGA's and unwillingness to pass didn't help by any means, obviously).
Mike Brown needs to have a come to jesus meeting with everyone in that locker room and ask who actually wants to have a chance at winning a championship any time soon.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Kobe must have had a flashback and thought he was playing with Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, and Brian Cook.
Kobe lost that game for the Lakers.Redskins, Lakers, Orioles, UNC Basketball , and ND Football

Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
At this point the Lakers offense should be running through Bynum damn near every possession. Problem is Kobe being Kobe is NOT going to allow that to happen. If only just to prove people like myself wrong, that its still HIS team.HELLO BROOKYLN.
