I know a lot of people are like it's only one game. Norris Cole is like J.J. (when he played for Dallas). He just speeds the game up so much for the Heat. And then Erika sitting Mario for Norris in the clutch moments of the game. Must of hurt Mario. I still think he is better defensively then Norris is. And fits Heats "hands/gambling" style of defense. But Norris is a huge speed boost on offense. I mean damn, The Heat were a pretty fast team already.
But like I said last night I hope teams were watching the match up. Better get use to see a lot of that vs the Heat. Because no team can really match up man to man with them right now. Also, The Heat looked the best I've seen them vs the zone last night. As much people will say they didn't score much on it. But they had some very nice looks and really moved the ball around. Compared to last years craziness.
Finally, I hate watching the Lakers on offense now. A lot of dribbling. Pau shooting 3's. And Pau not getting the ball deep in the lane.

Harlan was on fire last night....
Jeebs....yeah, they seemed to be ready for it (the zone) last night....even though they struggled, they definitely have zone busters....Haslem won go 1-9 often, and I think the more they see it the more they'll adjust.
Lakers will still be solid when Bynum comes back....that wall that the 2 7 footers put up when they are together is still the best in the business...Comment

One more game without Bynum, very anxious. NYK going to be a tough matchup Thursday. I love how the Lakers D is getting after it every possession. If only they had a PG who could run a fast break out of a rebound or turnover.
Jazz looked miserable. Lots of rebuilding to be had.

I would think the Knicks should able to get the W with their advantage on the front line, but after the start to this season, I've thrown out any method of conventional thinking.
I have to give credit to the Lakers. They have made a concerted effort on the defensive end and I've been pleasently surprised with how McRoberts has fit in with that team. He's almost a perfect fit.
Also impressed with Ebanks. You can tell he worked on his jumper and he has a chance to be a really solid player.Last edited by 1Rose; 12-28-2011, 11:45 AM.Comment

Just about to say the samething about McRoberts and Ebanks.
I just wish I could see more of an effort to get the ball down low. I feel Pau and Kobe are spending too much time outside. I know it's only been 3 games. I know Artest has been posting up a lot. But has Kobe been in the post in any of them?
I really like Ricky Rubio play. It's not the passing. I really like his defense. I've heard things about him on defense. But didn't know if it would come over well. But he really has good hands And does a great job of keeping his man in front of him.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

They even eluded to it last night, that his shot selection had been questionable so far.
Artest on the other hand, he gained like 50 pounds and has been playing more like a 4 than a 3 lol Personally, I think that's a good role for him. He has a clear size advantage and his skill set at his age fits that mold, better than playing on the perimeter. He's never been a strong perimeter player anyway.
While I orginally wrote them off, I'll say this. If Bynum returns and plays well, Ebanks continues to improve upon his scoring and takes some of the load off of Kobe, and they keep playing defense like they have been, this team is going to be right up there in the West at the end of the season.Last edited by 1Rose; 12-28-2011, 01:25 PM.Comment

Like they were saying last night, Ron Ron's perimeter game has abandoned him lol. I agree with everything you said about him 1Rose.
Although to be fair he did hit some difficult J's last night but I still agree with what you said about his game.Comment

LOL Kobe's Shot selection has always been questionable. I thought his jumper been falling more consistently this season compared to last. I'm surprised he scored over 25ppg in 3 straight contests actually.
Bynum will bring more defense and agrression to this team. not to mention offensive rebounding. World Peace stay in the paint. Murphy brings that veteran play I can see it in his game. Ebanks will be a full blown ariza soon lol. McRoberts his better defensively than anticipated. Gotta finish those plays offensively though.
Steve Blake has impressed me at the point. He hasn't had a single game that good all last season. Goudelock keep shooting out the Gym. . Pau get back in that post. Matt Barnes don't worry you'll get some time soon. Luke Walton Retire#1 Laker fan

I wouldn't write off the Jazz after 1 game, lol.
They have some decent talent themselves, I am not so down on them.
As far as LA goes, I actually think offensively they look pretty good outside of Kobe's shot selection. The ball moves nicely around the entire court. Seems much more reactive ala Miami this year instead of robotic and predictable like last year.Comment
