Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
The shot I hate the most with Kobe and he takes it at least twice per game is that three with a hand in his face at 22' of the shotclock. Why does he take that shot twice a game, I will never get it. Anyway he looked exhausted tonight but still no excuse for taking so many bad shots (and missing them) especially when Gasol and Bynum both had great game.

The Lakers should run their offense through Gasol and Bynum posting up. I can't think of many teams who have good defensive big men who can guard those seven footers."My body could stand the crutches but my mind couldn't stand the sideline"- Michael JordanComment

Oh well.
I hope Mike Brown has the gumption to manage this.
How many people have Kobe taking 28 shots in this game if the starting center for the Lakers was Dwight Howard? No respect for Drew's game, man...

Re: Game Discussion Thread 12/25/11-1/1/12
It has nothing to do with a respect or lack of respect for Bynum's game. It is all on Kobe and how he has been. I mean we have seen Kobe pull the same crap with a prime Shaq. It wouldn't matter who the center is when Kobe feels like jacking up shots he will jack up shots.Comment

It's almost as if he pretends these guys aren't even on the floor. Hahaha.

Great game from the Timberwolves to beat the Mavs tonight. First time seeing Rubio play live, kid is really impressive, the Wolves have a good chance to do some things in the Western Conference. The Mavs really had a chance there at the end, they weathered the storms of Wolves runs but Love and Tolliver went crazy in the last 5 minutes and the Mavs got sloppy and couldn't shoot worth a damn. If the Mavs ever decide to shoot well and Odom ever decides to show up they'll be just fine. Hopefully we can get some revenge on the Thunder tomorrow night, not counting on it though.
Wow, just read the ESPNDallas blog on the game, didn't see the whole game, just most of the first half and some of the fourth quarter, the Mavs got dominated on the boards and had way too many turnovers. The turnovers I think is still a symptom of an offense getting into sync with each other, and turnovers have been an issue for a lot of teams, but the rebounds are a troubling stat, although Kevin Love is a monster on the glass.Last edited by SteelersFreak; 01-02-2012, 01:08 AM.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

On the plus side for the Mavs, Mahinmi and Roddy Beaubois are both playing solid ball lately. If Lamar Odom ever decides to stop crying about not being a Laker anymore, the Mavs should be fine. Gotta step up the effort on the boards though.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
