Because he's the wrong coach for THIS team and has been so since Day 1. If you're going to rebuild, then Flip is not the coach you put in charge of a rebuild project just like Sam Cassell is not somebody you want mentoring you No. 1 player unless you want him to be nothing more than an average role player.

People already knew they weren't going to win many games this year but at least expected them to be somewhat competitive or act like they give a damn, which they haven't all year. It's been all talk from the players and none of them have gotten any better since Flip's been there. It's Knucklehead City there and the Coaches don't seem to give a crap just like the players don't outside of Wall, Singleton and Booker.

Again, that's the FO's fault for bringing him in. I agree though that he wasn't the right man for this job, wasn't arguing that.

Just to add to your point, doesn't help when your second best player made it clear that he didn't want to be there by hoping he would get a deal in FA, then being forced to come back because no one bit.

Oh no question it's on the FO as well. But at the time when they hired him, they couldn't really bring anybody in while still being stuck with Gilbert's contract plus nobody wanted to go there(which is kind've odd in a way)

That is some 100% Grade A Fail right there.

God that's horrible.

Rashard Lewis is the definition of fail, and Otis Smith as well for creating that atrocious contract that Lewis is making a living off of right now.

Dude has checked out for the past 2 years and is making $23 million dollars. He'll be lucky to get the Vet Min when his current deal is up.
