Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/9/12 - 1/15/12
After 3, both teams are shooting 45.2%. The difference? The Lakers have offensive rebounds and second chance points.
Oh, and that loser Shannon Brown and his stretch of failure in the first quarter.
And that inexplicable Gasol/FT thing.Comment

Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/9/12 - 1/15/12
Just watching this game, it seems the only way the Suns can win consistently, is if they shoot lights out, don't turn the ball over and beat teams in transition.
Their D is suspect and they give up way to many second chance opportunities.
Also, Shannon Brown is atrocious.Comment

Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/9/12 - 1/15/12
But hey, we've sacrificed years and years in the name of D, and have systematically destroyed the team's offensive prowess. So instead of being a #1 offense and a working to be an average defensive and good rebounding team, we have an average offense, decent defense, and weak rebounding. Thanks a lot, stereotypes.Comment

Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/9/12 - 1/15/12
So we can put this whole defensive notion to rest, the Suns are second worst in the league in giving up rebounds to the opposing offense, and they are sixth best in opponents FG%.
So far this season, anyway. But typically, the Suns have been way worse at rebounding than defense. The last few Gentry years were way worse defensively (shooting percentages anywa) than the D'Antoni years though.Comment
