Aside from the Suns/Spurs in 2005, that was probably the tightest best-of-seven series I've seen that only went five games.

I agree with others that Dwight to the Nets doesnt make them a contender. They would still need a SF and PF to put alongside him and Williams. Brooks should be good at SG. I think the Nets getting Dwight is a long shot with the Lopez injury, unless ORL is willing to take on Okur and fillers for Dwight.

Lakers still got the best chances of landing Dwight, especially if Bynum continues with his play

I still can't believe Kerr complemented Kwame Brown last night during the Magic/Warriors game.

As far as the Bulls/Celtics tonight, Rose is good to go.

Yeah, That was my whole point about being sarcastic. And nothing against the Nets because he'd improve that team bigtime BUT I still would find it a reach to call them championship contenders. I do think the Lakers and Mavs would keep them in the conversation of championship contenders if he went there. He definitely would have made the Bulls favorites if they traded the right pieces BUT when he said he didn't want to come to Chicago that's when his motives of being on a winner started to come to question.

You do know you're proving my point then, right?

Because I said if he goes to Brooklyn then he doesn't care about winning because he's playing for the Nets(regardless of what city they're in, they're still The Nets)and implying that I don't think the Nets would win a Championship UNLESS(heavy emphasis on that)they build a proper supporting cast around him and Deron(because those two are going to be playing together)and not just filler players.

I do find it a bit surprising that people are missing the parallels between this and the Melo situation last year. Do people really don't see how eerily similar the two are?

Listen, as a Bulls fan I stopped wondering(or even wishing) that he was going to play here once he said he didn't want to come to Chicago. That's fine. If he wants to play somewhere for reasons other than trying to win the championship, then more power to him.

Ex he had a good cast then but I wouldn't call it great at all and it certainly wasn't anything close to the Lakers and Heat teams that won titles. That really was the whole point. Dude tried to make it seem like Kobe and Wade got further with less than Dwight had and that simply isn't anything close to the truth. Neither player has ever won anything without at least a second all NBA player playing next to him. Dwight has had nothing more than a fringe at best all star next to him. That comparison simply can't be made logically.

That 06 Heat squad ain't really nothing to brag about either outside of Wade. Just like Duhwight wasn't playing with average BBall players at the time either.

Yeah I agree overall. I just slightly disagree with you about the year they made it to the finals, no big though. I feel like Shard and Turk were playing at really high levels that season.. and Nelson was an All-Star that year though he got hurt late in the season and wasn't 100% for the playoffs.
