    Groundbreaking.

LeBron needs to be assertive. Wonder why Spo hasnt thought about that yet?

I agree. I think his main problem is that he fears failure.

When your hometown - a place that has never really had anything good happen for them in sports (To my knowledge) - goes from calling you "The Chosen One" and "The Savior" etc., to calling you a traitor, and saying you couldn't keep your word on bringing Cleveland a ring - basically saying that you failed your city - it could have affected him mentally to where he's not as confident.

I don't think he can't perform in late game situations - We've all seen him do it before, mostly in Cleveland - but he's clearly stopping himself in his mind when it comes to these situations.

Yeah I agree with ya. I mean from the beginning of last year's playoffs up until Game 2 of the NBA Finals, LeBron was undoubtedly the best/clutch basketball player in the world. It wasn't until Game 4 of the Finals when everybody started doubting LeBron and criticized his 4th quarter performances, and although I don't think it affected him mentally during that time. I think it started to affect him after the series was over and when everybody made a big deal out of it, particularly the media.

I mean we've all seen LeBron performed in the clutch, especially during 4th quarter big moments (ala vs. Detroit, vs. Celtics & Bulls), but I think its just a mental issue that LeBron has to overcome.

I can't stress enough how much i love this new Denver team. No ego's, no guys looking to play elsewhere(well except for Dre Miller). I think they are better than when they had Melo and is pound the ball pound the ball shoot and black hole mentality.

In fairness, I was the one pushing the doesn't matter thing with regards to the Heat and it still doesn't matter. Remember last season's losing streak? They'll pull it together and be rolling again in a week or so at the latest. Only thing that matters with this team is May and June.

I don't think LeBron has ever been the most clutch player in the world at any point in his career. I could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. His disappearing stuff definitely started before last year btw. At the least it started against the Celtics.

I think he may have actually spoiled us all with that Detroit game. That was a performance to behold but he refuses to do that again when we all know he's fully capable of it. It's so disappointing knowing he can do that and just won't.

I still remember that 3 he hit against Orlando in the Playoffs.

But yeah initially, I don't think the initial doubts got to him. But it's just like telling someone how good they are constantly; the more he/she hears it, the more it gets to their head where they begin to believe it. I think the more LeBron heard all the doubts and negative comments, the more he began to believe, "Maybe I'm not clutch" and later in Miami, "Maybe I should defer to Wade and others in the 4th quarter."

The weird thing about the media is, they criticize LeBron for not being aggressive/assertive in the 4th quarter, yet they repeatedly mention that Wade should get the ball late. I mean, you can't have it both ways; if you want a guy to be aggressive in the 4th quarter, you can't just stop him and say, "OK, now we're going to give the ball to Wade." That's basically telling a player that he did all that hard work, and the coach doesn't trust him the most.

To me, he's basically in sort of a slump, only he can overcome the problem he has. But he has to let go of that fear of failing and just ball.

Those are really really really bad comparisons.

He'll be a star. Not a superstar, but a Granger type star. Only 24. Can score from anywhere on the floor and every year he started his numbers improved and increased. Can easily be a 23-25 and 7 guy if he becomes the feature player of a team.
