Those are really really really bad comparisons.

He'll be a star. Not a superstar, but a Granger type star. Only 24. Can score from anywhere on the floor and every year he started his numbers improved and increased. Can easily be a 23-25 and 7 guy if he becomes the feature player of a team.

100% agree. He was having a great year in NY before the Melo trade. I've been watching him since his DePaul days and he's such a talented/solid player in this league.

Agree that those are pretty bad comparisons but 23 and 7? I don't know about that. We'll obviously have to see, but I don't really see him as having Granger type talent or anything like that.

Ask Rob Parker (ESPN writer), he bashed the Atlanta fan base pretty bad in an article last week.

I agree. i don't see him putting up those kind of scoring numbers at all. He doesn't get tothe line enough to average 23 to 25 a night no matter what team he plays for or what system he is in.

Been to a Hawks game (vs. Spurs).

Pretty pathetic showing as far as fan support. Same team that was selling Kobe and Lebron merchandise to make money @ the arena.

Hollinger is always at the Hawks games and cracking a joke about how empty it is.

Atlanta has the biggest fair weathered fans in the country bar none. When the teams are winning and things are going good they will trick you into thinking they are great fans(see Hawks playoff games) but when things are going bad they are nowhere to be found and you can get any seat you want. The only team here that has got good fan support for say the past 10 years is the Falcons but you can thank Mike Vick for that. After he was gone it fell pretty big but once they started winning again it picked back up. They get pretty good attendance now.

Granted that pic was before the game started and it has filled in some since then there still are a bunch of empty seats. But no matter how good of a team the Hawks could have a team like Minny just isn't going to fill the seats. Alot of time people come to the game more for who they are playing than the Hawks themselves.

I can't hate them too hard though. They did give us the Thrashers.
