The problem with Wall is he plays for the Wizards with Rashard Lewis, Andray Blatche, Nick Young, Jordan,” I'm better than Michael ” Crawford, Javale McGee.

Plus Wall forces way too many jumpers with his size and ridiculous athleticism. His last game against Houston (he made us look like a high school team) is what I think he's capable of: 38 pts on 13/22 shooting, 12-16 from the line, 6 reb, 8 ast, 4 steals, 1 block with only 2 turnovers.

Either Washington gets smart or Wall should get going.

Rose in his rookie year had a suspect jumpshot as well. Probably as suspect as Wall’s right now. BUT in just 3 seasons, Rose went from being a mediocre jumpshooter to being a legit 3-point threat. It’s amazing where Rose came from because guys like Paul and Williams came into the league with respectable jumpshots. Irving actually has a better jumpshot in his first year than Rose did in his rookie season. Wall should have taken a cue from Rose to work on his shooting because he has the tools to be the best PG in the league. However, because you have the tools doesn’t make you a certified electrician.

You can tell Wall wants to get better though, I think he'll come along..

I hope he does want to get better, because his decision making in the halfcourt also has to be a result of whatever it is

You shouldn't expect him to be fully settled right now as a player, but those years creep up pretty fast where you know a guy wont improve anymore and what you see is what he'll always be

Eventually he will. BUT Wall is such a supreme talent that I just hate to see it go to waste. If the Wizards want to develop Wall into the next Derrick Rose and not the next Stephon Marbury then they need to flip, Flip Saunders out of there as soon as possible. And speaking of Marbury, it’s interesting that Flip was Marbury’s first pro coach. And they had to trade away Marbury because Saunders’s couldn’t control his ego.

I wish he was on a team like Phoenix so Nash could mentor him. I don't know which team would be worse to be on, the Kings or the Wizards lol.

I dont think Wall is out of control like Marbury, but Flip's not in a win win situation anyway.

Like I see with alot of players..you need the right kind of people around you, doesn't necessarily have to be the coach... to develop right

23, your right about a player not necessarily having the right coach because in Rose's first two seasons he had Vinny as his coach. BUT Derrick has also had the opportunity to be mentored by Kirk Hinrich. Rose to this day credits Hinirch for a lot of his success as a player. Most people would overlook that BUT Derrick did not, even though Derrick was brought in to replace Hinrich at the PG. Ever since then, I've had a fond respect for Hinrich because he didn't have to be a mentor to Derrick. He even admitted that he didn't like mentoring his replacement because he felt he could still play BUT Hinrich was still professional about it and just played his role until he got another shot at starting for another team.

I remember Hinrich's first game at the United Center in a Wizard's uniform Derrick Rose gave him a hug like Kirk was his long lost brother. Two classy guys welcoming each other.

That mental and maturity aspect is just as important as the jumpshot man

Its something that's overlooked in itself but its very important. Imagine if that knucklehead Cousin's had started off with a guy like Duncan to learn under or someone that could show him the ropes in life....

Barkley said it on Open Court, he still to this day credits Dr J for showing him how to be a professional and show him the right kind of minframe it takes to be in the NBA and succeed

There is alot of that missing with this youth movement going on.. the guys like Rubio get it back home

It's not that I've given up on John Wall. Like Derrick Rose had a way better med range jumper then John Wall has right now. He either get all the to basket or it's a jumper from 20 feet out. Like someone said his half court game needs alot of improvement. Just watch his 38 he put on the Rockets.

Not every player has to be hand held. I think it may just apply to certain players. Guys like Cousins are some of the ones who would NEED a mentor to have a successful NBA career. I think in the case of Rose, I think having a mentor just accelerated his career to superstar status a lot sooner than expected. Rose probably would have been fine even if he didn't have a mentor in Hinrich, it probably would have just took him a little longer to figure it out.

I think Wall is in a predicament where he has no mentor nor a coach who can develop the mental part of his game. BUT Wall to me is much more mature than Cousins. Not saying much BUT Wall will figure it out sooner or later. It's just, I wanted him to have someone help him figure it out sooner than later.

Wall and Cousins are in extreme opposite situations mature wise, but are in not so advantageous situations

Looks like Rose is a game time decision tonight. I say sit him. This will be the first week the Bulls will have two days off. After tonight, their next game would be Friday against Cleveland. Rose sits tonight, he'd have 5 days off. Watson is back so I'd just throw him out there tonight against the Suns. The Bulls will need him against Cleveland and Kyrie Irving. Irving been on a roll so far this year and looks like he's got an early lock for rookie of the year. Rose will have initiate the rookie and show him what it really takes to be an elite PG.

Speaking of Kyrie Irving, I got a feeling Irving will be an elite PG in the next three years. Barring injury, Irving will be in the same conversation as Paul, Rose, Williams as the best PG's in the league. It's the same projection I had with Rose when he was a rookie. I think this kid has got that 'IT' factor. It's a shame he's going to leap frog over John Wall because Wall should have been entering the conversation at least by next year. When I saw Wall play last year I had a feeling his progress was going to take a while before he enters the elite PG club. BUT I'm putting money on right now that Irving will get there before Wall.

Honestly Dice, I'd sit him Friday too. The Cavs really aren't any real threat to the Bulls as well as they're playing with Kyrie at the helm. They aren't going to win the division, they probably won't have any real affect on the Bulls' final seedings and while they are good enough to beat the Bulls without Rose, I still don't look at that game without Rose as an automatic loss. Hell I might even give him off Saturday night against the Cats as well and let him get back in there on Monday against the D-Will if he's feeling ready for it. I know this kind of injury will probably linger all year no matter how long we sit him, but I don't think an abundance of actual rest can really hurt in the grand scheme of things. Unless they're on a losing streak or something, I'd definitely sit him Friday at least as well as tonight.

Hey, if you get in a fight and get your *** whooped for the first five minutes of it and managed to win with a haymaker at the end or something and somebody got the whole thing on tape, you don't wanna keep seeing it just cause you managed to win lol.
