I think it just means that Melo has the most ways to score, and he is effective at all of them. LeBron supposedly has a post game, but it remains to be seen how effective it will be long term. I'm not sure how efficient KD is from 3 or in the mid-range/post, but I think KD will take both the pure scorer and best scorer titles, or the best overall scorer if you want to combine them. I could be wrong in thinking they're separate titles though.
I have heard many people (Barkley has probably said it the most) that Melo was the best scorer without trying to qualify with putting pure or versatile before it and it always was funny to me. It was like damn are these guys not watching what Kobe and LeBron and now add Durant to the list are doing?? I have no problem putting him on the list of best scorers but in no way can I put him at the top of the list. I don't even know if I could put him above Wade either.

I get what you are saying in the second but coming up when somebody was called a pure scorer they was being talked about as a guy who goes and gets buckets. Now you got so many guys trying to redefine the word or phase to try and help their argument. I mean there was plenty of guys in past eras who was known as pure scorers but didn't have very many moves to go to. They just went out and got buckets.

Anybody else think that Darko's career isn't as bad as what it was projected to be after he left Detroit?

I mean he's still a bust as a No. 2 pick but he at least was able to salvage his career before it just went down the drain completely.

At least Steve Novak isn't in SA to throw a horrible in-bounds pass. Five and a half seconds left with Spurs down 2....

Good for him, seriously. Actually quite impressive for him to turn into something at least DECENT after being arguably the worst player in the league for so long.

How did my team just lose to the Kings at home???? Pop is a ****ing moron for not putting Duncan back in when the team gained the momentum. Why is he always overthinking and pissing away games? So, damn frustrating...

That's what happens when you're a young big man with Larry Brown. Not saying it would turn out different but he did solid after Detroit. Had a huge drop in NY before Minnesota giving him a go.

Maybe with a different he coach would have turned out different. Who knows.

He can actually handle the ball unlike Kapono, but yeah, pretty much.
