I think Detroit is the right place for Drummond to go. They need to take a gamble like this.

Monroe two years ago, Knight last year, now Drummond; on paper, this drafting at the end of the lottery hasn't worked out too badly.

There aren't a lot of Small Forwards left in this draft. Barnes, MKG, and Ross (He's tall enough to play the position comfortably) were really the only quality forwards in the draft. Everyone else is potential.

Big, athletic, bigger and more athletic than Kwame I think. Probably has the most potential, worst case scenario I see him being DeAndre Jordan which would be an alright fit next to Monroe.

I think Detroit is the right place for Drummond to go. They need to take a gamble like this.

It isn't even a huge gamble, compared to a guy like Henson or Zeller who they'd have probably picked otherwise.

Drummond hopefully will lock down and become the stud he can be.

If Drummond can become a quality player, then Detroit may have the best frontcourt in two or three years.
