    Jason Williams' flashy passing.
    Vince Carter's nightly highlight reels.
The Clippers having one of the most exciting teams in the NBA.
Michael Jordan's final moments as a player.
The demise of the Lakers/Rise of Kobe Bryant
    The Vancouver Grizzlies.
    Allen Iverson in his prime.

One thing I will never miss though, is the Bulls teams of that time. Y'all can keep that.
No doubt. We had freaking John Starks on the roster for a while. Still have nightmares about that.

      Re: Early 2000's

Highlights of the "Early 2000s" for me

-anything Vince Carter did (other than quitting on Toronto)

-T-Mac's stint in Orlando. Wish I could have seen more of him on TV during his prime.

-Vince & T-Mac showing some great chemistry in Toronto in the 2000 playoffs. I know they couldn't have stayed together for much longer, but it was fun to watch that highlight reel of a team for those 2 years they were together.

-watching Shaq eviscerate all centers put in front of him

-watching Frobe come into his own.

-watching Iverson single-handedly carry the 76ers to the Finals in 2001. The moment when he stepped over Tyronn Lue was priceless!

-watching Ben Wallace's hair get bigger & bigger every season

-watching the greatest power forward ever in his prime. It was honestly a pleasure to watch (even though I hated him)(Duncan, of course)

-Those early 2000s Dallas teams were a blast to see. Nash & Nowitzki running wild, hair flopping everywhere.

-Pulling for the Kings or Blazers to beat LA every year, only to be let down each year. Those Kings teams were so good, & even more entertaining. One of greatest passing big men ever, one of the greatest outside shooters ever, another very good passing big man (Divac), some great point guards (Williams, then Bibby), solid role players (Christie, Bobby Jackson, etc.). As for the Blazers, I couldn't help but pull for them. I had pulled for Chicago all through the '90s, so I had to pull for Pippen. Plus, 'Sheed, Steve Smith, Sabonis, Stoudamire, etc. were some pretty good players, as well.

-Watching the Spurs & Pistons prove that TEAMS were still important in the NBA.

-The absolute highlight, for me, was MJ's return. Everyone is so quick to give him hell for those two seasons, but come on...the guy averaged over 20 points for two years, at the ages of 38-40. That only enhances his legacy, if you ask me. Watching him go for 40 on several occasions, then light up Charlotte for 50? Amazing. The true highlight of his comeback was December 26, 2001, when I went to watch the Wizards play in Charlotte against the Hornets (not his 50 point game, but he did score 28. Even if it wasn't his prime, I can still tell people that I saw Michael Jordan play.

Obviously Kobe coming into his own is what I'm always going to look back on as #1.

I'll always look back and wonder what if with the Shaq Kobe dynasty, if they could have been mature about it. Things had spiraled out of control though, and no matter what LA had to stick with the young guy who still hadn't touched his prime.

Malone going down in that last run will always make me frown.

Chris Webber was a delight to watch even though I hated Sactown, and their cowbells. Also, hated Doug Christie.

The Spurs dynasty set the bar for sound, fundamental basketball in an era dominated by "highlights, Duncan was so pure.

Kobe and Shaq had a chance to win 8 championships if they could have co-existed beyond 2004. They could have took one of those Spurs championships away and the Heat definitely wouldn't have won in 2006. As great as Wade was in the Finals, he wouldn't have gotten there without Shaq.

LMAO Why did T-Mac kick the ball like that though?

              That mess was too funny.

What's more impressive? Jason Williams elbow pass or Raef Lafrentz playing in that all-star game?

I knew it was too good to be true, not sure why I thought it was the AS game.

The east was garbage.. still is garbage.. but say the the "quality" of the nba went down is just silly and trendy to say and no one challenges because of the Post Jordan depression..

I signed up on the basis of Packs response which was necessary given .. the misguided.. and even ignorant comments in regards to what that one dude said..

                            People love to romanticize...

Ill remember Ai, tmac, vince being beastly. The lakers dominating the wild wild west. Kobe being great then.. and not much different now as far as results goes. Vince Carters jaw dropping performance.. that whole dunk contest was good but VC just eclipsed everything.
