Re: NBA Game Discussion Thread 1/30/12 - 2/04/12
That's because I really don't see Rip Hamilton as nothing more than a role player. And again, I'm "declaring" the ceiling because the Bulls will not beat the Heat, especially if the Heat are the #1 seed.
Also, I said SOMETIMES Wade will come over and trap. Rip isn't gonna play 48 minutes, and I wouldn't even be surprised if they have him coming off the bench by the time the playoffs roll around, in favor of Ronnie Brewer.
Until I see the Bulls play the Heat and beat them convincingly, I don't believe they can make it past the Heat unless they offset the Big 3. I don't even think you can truly bet on Luol, Boozer, and Rip, which is what you have to do if you think the Bulls can make it past the Heat.
We lost to them, in Miami by 4 points, with a one legged Hamilton, no Deng, no Watson and Rose missing FTs he never misses, but you think we have no chance of beating the Heat? Wow.
Indiana getting Eric Gordon will not make them the 2nd best team in the East. Stop it.Last edited by 1Rose; 02-02-2012, 01:25 PM.Comment

I know the kid is decent BUT is he really First Team All-NBA material? Trust me, the Bulls will not be scrambling because Eric Gordon is with the Pacers.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Lol at downplaying Eric Gordon. Pacers are a great team, a piece like that is huge for them.

Oooh, ooh, can I play the potential game as well????
LOL @ the Pacers automatically becoming the 2nd best team in the East. Who's gonna be the first? Oh wait nevermind, shouldn't even bother asking that one.

As far as this Bulls-Heat-Howard discussion, I’m going to be the first to tell you that the more superstars you have on your team the better chances you have to winning the championship. NOW, obviously if you don’t know how to use them, having superstars on your team is like having Vida Guerra as your girlfriend BUT she’s strung out on drugs. Having more superstars doesn't guarantee you the championship, heck nothing is guaranteed. BUT having more superstars gives you a better shot at it.
Honestly, I think the Bulls can beat the Heat in a 7-game series. Watching the Heat the last two years, they just seem too inconsistent on when they want to play good half-court basketball. Now fortunately for them, they played a string of solid half-court basketball in the playoffs from Game 2 of the ECF up until Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Outside of that string of basketball between the first game against Chicago and the last two games against Dallas, you see the Heat get into theses lulls of “My Turn” offense. This year seems to be the case as well. Personnel-wise, the Heat slightly improved but they are still doing a lot of the same things they were doing last year. You get the guys, but you have to utilize them as well.
So to me, it’s not as much as the Bulls beating the Heat. I think the Heat will beat themselves like they did in the Dallas series. Obviously, I’m all for getting Dwight Howard. We get him, I think the Bulls would have enough firepower not to rely on the Heat beating themselves. Matter of fact, the Bulls get Howard without giving up Deng, I’m looking at a sweep. BUT in my opinion, after watching the game on Sunday and watching the Heat during various times of the season, they’ll beat themselves. I can just see it coming. The Bulls may not be the team they collapses on(that’s if Howard is not there) but the Finals will once again be the stage where the Heat will fall on their faces again.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Also, just looked at the standings for both conferences and I'd probably say they're are realistically 3-4 playoffs spots MAX up for grabs between the 2.
The battle for the 8th spot though is gonna be an exciting one since you got 4 teams fighting for that spot(MIL, CLE, NY, NJ).#RespectTheCultureComment

Can I play this what if game?
Like What if he just either resigns with NO or they match any offer given he's a RFA which I would think is pretty likely given his talent and the situation.
I'm not even sure the Heat are the best team in the NBA right now nonetheless #1 in the East.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
