Damn. RIP. I still don't understand why people don't wear seat belts when it's been proven that they save lives.

Hazell Stoudemire, the older brother of NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire, died early this morning in a car accident in Florida ... TMZ has learned.

Hazell Stoudemire, the older brother of NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire, died early this morning in a car accident in Florida ... TMZ has learned.

The accident happened on Route 27 in Lake Wales. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stoudemire was driving at a "high rate of speed" when he collided with the rear of a tractor trailer.

        He died on the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 35-year old Stoudemire was not wearing a seat belt when he smashed into the big rig ... and they are unsure if alcohol was a factor.

Should be though... the league should definitely be reviewing that film

...but then again they let Kobe knee Battier all in the head a few years ago in the playoffs and didnt do anything so whatever, just be consistent

If the Jazz owner blasting Malone can make weekend news, I'd think a star stepping on someone's face would...**** wasn't even in the newsline....I found out through the game discussion thread...

You really think the national media is going to give a **** about Timberwolves-Rockets at any point in time let alone Super Bowl Sunday? There was mention of it Saturday night when it happened, but it didn't get a lot of pub because it's Super Bowl weekend. I could see if it was low covered like....last weekend or something.

Bulls, Detroit x 2 and San Antonio this week. Looks like another 1 win week for Jersey, especially since we'll be playing 8 players PERIOD due to all the injuries we've suffered.

Throwbacks will be in effect tonight vs. Chicago also.
