Anyone have a link to the Rising Star Challenge rosters? I didn't get to see who Chuck and Shaq picked.

Absolutely hate the fan voting in the Slam Dunk contest, pretty much guarantees Shumpert a win just because of Lin's involvement. Its pretty sad that I'm more excited about the Celebrity game than the Dunk contest.

Meh, who cares. It's a dunk contest, let the fans vote.

The guys holding up the 8, 9, and 10 cards got it wrong last year, so having the fans vote can't be any worst then those guys.

True. But it's a dunk contest. It's not sacred. It's not like they are voting on the playoff seeding or something. Maybe it's just me.

Much less about getting it wrong than it's about the bastardizing of the league.

The All Star Weekend used to be about honoring NBA legends and bringing the old to the new.

The fans have enough involvement voting in the starters.

I agree. Society as a whole has been bastardized. The NBA is no different just the sign of the times. It sucks, but it is what it is. Alot of stuff going on in the NBA that I could get up in arms about. The dunk contest just isn't one of them. Like I said though, that just could just be me.

LOL I love it when SVG speaks because he usually doesn't cut any corners:

Van Gundy said he watched a discussion on TV in which people debated whether Lin should be in the rookie-sophomore game. Van Gundy said: "My question would be: Who cares about that game, anyway? So, you can play anybody you want, because if you're watching that, you've got to be one of the most bored people in the world."

Off the top of your head, name the last 3 Orlando Magic first round picks.

I'm sure SVG can't in under 5 seconds.

Courtney Lee was in there wasn't he? I think.

Other than that, I'm sure they were some scrubs that are getting no burn.

EDIT- I cheated and looked. Daniel Orton, wow, that's bad. I had C. Lee and Redick make up the last 3 first rounders.

Well I mean he usually was picking late in the 1st rd in the last 3 years, was he not?

Wouldn't be surprised if half of the coaches in the NBA could name their last 3 1st rd picks either lol

His original point still stands lol

Rookie Sophmore game? Three point shootout? Dunk Contest? Boring. The All Star Game is also a total waste of time. That whole weekend is just a service to the almighty ka-Chung ka-Chung.
