Spurs tried their hardest to let Detroit beat them yesterday....back to back tonight against Toronto.....who has actually been playing good ball lately....well see what happens.

Speaking of which, MIA just blew out 3 straight teams on a back to back to back..... Impressive.

Good to know, because he ought to stay in NYC. That's where he made his mark and that's where he should stay. Good for him and good for the New York Knickerbockers organization. I hope they do big things together.

Even though it's probably not gonna happen but I think the Bulls should shut down Derrick Rose until after the all-star break. I know Derrick is 'hard core' and he can play through injuries BUT he really needs to calm down. YES, we know your tough but Thibs and management need to use their heads on this one. This team ain't winning jack without an effective Derrick Rose. And the only way Rose is gonna be effective is he doesn't have nagging and serious injuries. The Bulls don't need another MVP award from him, they need him to help win them a championship.

I think tonight is the night the Knicks finally fall and the Jeremy Lin hype can die down. Good kid. Good player. BUT com'on! This kid is being hyped up like he's the next Magic Johnson.

I think they are going to shut him down until after the break Dice. At least for the remainder of the week I believe. Listening to Friedell the other day he said the team has finally taken the decision out of Derrick's hands since they know he'll play every game if they let him. Hopefully he's right. Thibs is coaching the All-Stars now so record has become even less important at this point. We'll see what happens tomorrow night. If he doesn't play tomorrow, I can't see him coming back to play NJ or Atlanta or Milwaukee.

They should have took the decision out of his hand when he had the toe injury. There was a back specialist on the radio who said that Rose’s back injury could be connected to his toe injury. He explained that when muscles are not being used or not being effective then you start to over exert the other muscles. He said that the back is one of those muscles that normally overexerts when muscles from either your leg and feet start to give way. Can’t really disagree one way or another because he’s the expert. So I guess I’ll just have to take it at face value.

BUT we all know that Rose would probably play with one arm and one leg. As I stated before, it’s the coaches job to tell him that he can’t go out there. Don’t believe him if he tells you he’s fine. Watch him at the shoot around and gage his movements. The Bulls don’t need him out there limping in the middle of the regular season. This is not the playoffs. Now is not the time to prove you’re a warrior. look at what the Heat did for Dwayne Wade. They shut him down for about 2 weeks after his ankle injury and he comes back playing like his normal self.

So, JR's been trolling on his Twitter over the past week talking about several teams he could play for, but apparently he "had a great talk with Mike Brown" on Tuesday, which Brown confirmed.

I hate JR Smith so much. He can still play but do not want.

I hate him too, but he can help the team. It's so painful to watch when the bench comes in. Although they did work last night.

Hey you're preaching to the choir on this one my brother. However in regards to Dwyane Wade, let's make no mistakes, the Heat did that cause they have LeBron James and Chris Bosh on their roster affording them the opportunity to do it. They can win the number one seed in the east without D-Wade. The Bulls don't have a Bosh or Bron on their roster in the event of sitting Rose down for extended time. They've padded they're record enough at this point that they shouldn't lose too much ground with him sitting until after the break though.

Meh, I'd have to disagree with that. They'd still be a playoff team and probably be a 50+ win team in an 82-game season. BUT if they're going against the Bulls with Derrick Rose, I'm taking the Bulls all the way. What differentiates the Bulls and Heat are the amount of superstars on the team. The Heat has two and the Bulls have one. You take away the one superstar on the Heat and it's a one-to-one ratio. Which means at that point you have to deal with the rest of the team. And most knowledgeable basketball folks would know that if you compare the players on the Heat roster after LeBron and Wade to the Bulls roster after Rose and the Bulls run away with it, even with Bosh. Pit the Bulls against the Heat in a 7-game series minus Lebron-Wade and Rose and the Bulls win in a sweep.

But getting back to the league at hand, I don't think the Heat don't have that much of a luxury to rest their guys. Remember, they're trying to catch the Bulls. A team who's been number one in the conference with a lot of key players missing games due to injury. It's really amazing to think about what they've done this season with what they had to deal with.

The fact that he returned at all is my biggest gripe lol. Goudelock should get all of his minutes and only give them up if he is hurt.

Blake brings nothing to the table but the same things we already lack with Fisher.

He's a headcase but hell we have been putting up with good kobe/bad kobe for 16 years now, what's a few years of JR Smith but the icing on the cake lol.

Seriously if Mike Brown tells him "look you & Goudelock can shoot all yall want when the 2nd unit is out there" then I'm fine with him on the team. It's a much better option than Barnes, Blake, Murphy or McRoberts. Hell I wouldn't mind him at the 3 to end games because teams won't be able to double off him like they can Artest or Barnes. If there is one thing he can do is shoot(sometimes way too much) but him shooting too much is a much better percentage than our role players shooting anything at all now.
