Is there such thing as too much love?

One thing that i've noticed is the amount of love the Lakers are receiving on NBA.com. Frankly, I dont know what to think of it. Im not a Laker *****, in fact im a fan since they starting looking like underdogs last season. But I don't understand how the league's website, which in theory shouldn't be pushing ANY team above others, except maybe teams that are NOT getting press from the outside can have Laker pics on the home page on a daily basis.

What do you think on this is issue?

I don't really care anymore. They're the lakers.

That's like espn doing a segment on what the yankess have to do to recover, 're-build', and upright the boat. Good F-ing Grief.

check the nba messageboards...when one team's post count leads the next highest team's post count by over 300,000 and on average 600,000 more counts than other nba teams, you know that people watch them. I wouldn't sell a product that gets no love.

The reason is that LA is one of the two biggest NBA markets out there. The other being NYC. But the Knicks haven't done anything in about a half decade now, so all eyes are on the Lakers. The L is just pushing what makes money. And what makes money right now are the Lakers and LeBron.

I mean, with all the drama with the Lakers (Kobe, Kobe vs Shaq, Karl, GP, Shaq vs Phil, etc. . ) is there any wonder why they are always in the headlines? There is just so much going on with this team.

I say just try to ignore it. It's not going away, at least not this season.
