Its sad that I expect the Mavericks to collapse at some point in second halves if they have a halftime lead. Vince Carter played well but took too many shots, he shouldn't be taking 2.5 times the shots Dirk is through the 3rd quarter. The defense fell apart, in large part I think this was due to the absence of Haywood. Haywood is able to muscle Gortat around and change the pace up from Mahinmi's finesse play, I liked what Sean Williams was doing but he's not yet back to NBA game shape after playing in the D-league and he just rejoined the team a few days ago. Have no problems with Roddy taking those shots at the end, both of them were smart shots and good shots for him and they just didn't fall, would much rather have that than Jason Terry ignoring Dirk on the pick and roll like he did against the Thunder. Jason Terry continues to be absolute trash on the road, he says his jumper doesn't know any different, but he's been truly woeful shooting the ball on the road this year. Liked the play from Lamar Odom, he was hustling, making plays on offense.

This Suns team has a lot of potential though. Grant Hill doesn't seem to miss a midrange jumper, Steve Nash is the best playmaking point guard in basketball, Gortat is a beast inside, Jared Dudley is solid, Channing Frye is an excellent defender and when you've got Hakim Warrick, Shannon Brown and Sebastian Telfair contributing, that's solid. The Mavs show signs of being one of the best in the west and then show disheartening stretches of mediocrity.

Was pretty pissed at TNT though. If Blake Griffin had've done the putback slam that Sean Williams had in the 4th, it would've been replayed 8 times in the following 30 seconds and it would be the number one play on SportsCenter tonight, NOT EVEN ONE REPLAY THOUGH TNT? REALLY?

Why can't Jason Terry play with Lamar Odom? On paper that could be a hell of a 2 man game. I'm tired of seeing everyone take jumpers in the 4th quarter for the Mavs. It feels like everyone is doing a damn heat check

The only person Terry ever effectively runs a 2 man game with is Dirk and Terry hasn't run anything effectively since he's come back from that hiatus. I never thought I would say that Lamar Odom has been outplaying Jason Terry, but its been happening the past few games.

Lakers/Wolves should be a good one, I think Knicks/Bucks will be as well. Obviously game of the night is Clips/Spurs.

My body is ready for more disappointment from the Mavs tonight.
