Re: Game Discussion Thread 3/5 - 3/11
So as if the Mavs don't already have enough problems, tonight is a rest night for Jason Kidd. We're already missing his backup, Delonte West, so we started Dominique Jones at point guard tonight.
Mavs aren't looking much better tonight than they did last night.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Game Discussion Thread 3/5 - 3/11
It would be really nice to have Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer in games like these. Worst move Cuban made in the offseason. Now of our 15 guys we have 4 centers, one that plays in the D-league normally, and two power forwards that never see action. The Vince Carter idea was good early in the season, and this team wouldn't have a lot of problems in the normal season where you play, at most, 3 games a week and you get plenty of rest, but with all these games guys like Vince Carter just aren't effective.
Unbelievable we're only down by 10.Last edited by SteelersFreak; 03-10-2012, 11:39 PM.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Game Discussion Thread 3/5 - 3/11
I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic. We are at the tail end of a road back-to-back-to-back and at a 9 games in 12 nights stretch and in this game, we're missing our top two point guards and our top two centers and we've got two other guys (Cardinal and Yi) that aren't even going to get time. Like I said, if you replace Carter with Brewer and Rudy I think this team is not only better, but better in these kind of situations because they're both youthful guys.
The biggest thing I'm worried about is the apparent lack of chemistry. These guys don't seem to know where they're going to be on offense or defense, there's all kinds of missed rotations on defense and too little movement on offense. I suppose last year's team spoiled me, because there's very few teams in NBA history with the chemistry of that group. The end of this half has given me a little more hope because they've made it competitive, that's what was so bad about the Kings game last night, it really wasn't all competitive.
The other biggest worry is about how rough the schedule gets after the Wizards and Bobcats games next week, only one team with a losing record (Portland) through April 7th. Two games against y'all, two against the Rockets, gotta go play a back-to-back against the Heat and Magic. I have confidence they'll get it together, but I'm still pretty worried.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

No reason to be worried about anyone. Regular season doesn't mean jack.Comment
