Its ironic

Late in the game , you put Derrick Rose at the free throw line , he chokes .

But anywhere else on the court, he's butter.

A bit strong my friend. Derrick has these spots where he misses free throws. It isn't a consistent thing though to say late in the game you put him on the line and he chokes. I know this cause I've watched him throughout his career have a game where he's shooting free throws late and he'll miss them both or one of them like he's done in the games mentioned already, but after those particular games he goes for long stretches where he doesn't miss them. If you can find back to back situations where it's late and he's on the line and he misses his free throws I'd be shocked.
