I wouldn't want that bum on my squad for free. Every positive is outweighed by 2 negatives. There's a reason why he's not a winning NBA player. He didn't play the last 16 minutes of a do or die game last night. Omer Asik played over him. OMER ASIK!

If you want him I'll personally pay for his luggage fees and plane ticket and any other fees incurred on the flight to BK. He's a damn bum.

Not a surprise really. Boozer has never been good in playoffs. He isn't that guy and never will. Sad for Chicago but they had a lot going against them. That said they should have done way better even without Rose. If there is a team that could lose their leader and still go through 1 or 2 series I would of said the Bulls.

I'am all behind the Celtics in the east now. Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rondo. Such a legendary squad. Our kids will break their piggy banks to buy DLC's for 2K24 with that team in it.

Here's an awesome quote from Boozer. It just goes to show where his head is at. This is after the game 6 loss.

""I thought I played well, especially with the kind of season it was," Boozer said, when asked to assess his second season in Chicago. "We had the best record again in basketball, won our division again, had the top seed again, that's all that matters, yo."

The thing that pisses me off the most about Boozer last night (despite the fact that I've tried to defend him in his time here) is in his interview post game him sitting there talking about "we fought, we fought." Uh no you didn't dude. Last night Luol, Taj, Rip, hell even Omer fought considering he was out there completely out of gas because Boozer's *** is too sorry to be out there.

They need to lock Asik in a room with a basket and make him do nothing but shoot free throws, CATCH the ball and learn how to go straight up to the rim when he gets the ball deep in the post. I feel like I'm watching the foreign dude from 'Eddie' being told repeatedly how to take a charge and still doing the exact opposite when it comes to Omer's insistence to bring the ball down and take a dribble before he goes up.

I'll go spend the rest of the spring/summer in my shower now waiting for football season. Ughh...impatiently waiting for fall/winter in Chicago. Horrible.

Oh damn. Until seeing that picture just now, I hadn't even realized that just about every Chicago star player this year has gone down with an injury. That's insane.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round

After a depressing night and thinking about this season, the series and the last game I'm ready to post some of my thoughts.

I feel right now the Bulls should be playing a game 7 on the weekend. After Rose and Noah going down, Gibson and Deng playing through injuries which they probably should be sitting out in, they continued to play hard and never quit. Except the last minute. It also didn't help a certain individual didn't show up at all.

Which now leads me to my next topic. CJ Watson. Those defending Watson saying he's not responsible for leading this team to victory because he's the backup is ridiculous. You step on the court, you're held responsible. At this point we know what kind of player Watson is and the performance expected was much less then what we saw. His decision making on offense was questionable at times. He couldn't hit anything. The defense at times sagged off him a lot unless they doubled to try to force a turnover. His trying to flop on defense got old. He much rather run into someone then get in front of someone which is unacceptable. Especially in the Playoffs like King mentioned. The Bulls have a $3.7m team option on Watson for next season. I think they should not pick it up immediately and explore other options.

Also the half court shot Watson shot which actually rimmed out was the story of the Bulls season. Almost, but not quite. It is going to be a long summer and waiting till October for Bulls basketball sucks.

The only plus of all this is the Bulls will have to re-evaluate themselves. Moves are going to be made. You will need two PGs excluding Rose to start the season. Andre Miller please. Crawford works as well as when Rose comes back as he can just slip into the 2 spot. Watson's roster spot should depend on who they're able to get. Say no to Brooks. Don't want unless his value has dropped so much he comes here cheap. Doubt that's the case. Even then I don't want him.

Boozer needs to stay unless he's part of some deal. Amnesty is pointless right now. They're not going to pay Boozer and pay someone else to replace him. Keep him or trade him are the two options at this point. Gibson must be locked up long term though. Scal needs to also go. Make him a AC and give him a suit. Give the roster spot to someone that they can actually play in scenario like this... but oh wait, Thibs will never even make use of that roster spot so I guess it doesn't matter.

Asik. Got nothing against him for missing those free throws. He was drained physically and even though Boozer was playing bad. You have to rest Asik for a few minutes in that 4th quarter if you plan to play him the final 2-3. He's not Kobe. He's not LBJ. One, he's a big man and two he's not used to these amount of minutes. Also no problems with the foul. His teammates should have never put him in that position. A 1 on 1 with a the most athletic guy on the court. Probably one of the worst fast break defenses you'll see. Iggy went straight through the heart of the defense while everyone else but Asik was around him. Unacceptable but the Bulls got demolished on the break all series long. Thibs? Hello? Adjustments maybe? Accountability?

On the final note, Thibs deserves blame as well. Not for the injuries, but for another things. IMO, his controlling of minutes and lineups is one of the worst in the league. You think someone on that bench would say hey, maybe we should rest Asik for a few? He also needs to stop being stubborn with playing younger players. You're playing a pretty young and athletic 76ers team and you don't throw Butler out there?

Agree with pretty much all that. Only problem is you forgot one man who is skating completely under the radar right now. Kyle Korver. Completely unacceptable. Dude has ONE job to do and this series, after being the first one to write a letter about stepping up with Derrick gone provides what for the rest of the series after game 1? Bagel, 5, bagel, bagel. Unacceptable.

Not sure what real moves the Bulls can make this off-season as they pretty much have no real money. Gotta hope they can get some pieces @ the Vet Minimum...

Bulls ownership has a huge dilemma in front of it. Despite being one of if not the most profitable team in the league, Jerry Reinsdorf has always resisted the luxury tax. With the repeater tax looming over it, he’s going to have to make some decisions. Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah comprise $56 million in cap space for 2012-2013. Throw in Richard Hamilton’s guaranteed $5 million and rookie-scale contracts for Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler and you’re looking at over $65 million before Omer Asik’s qualifying offer, and that’s not counting non-guaranteed money for Kyle Korver, C.J. Watson, and Ronnie Brewer.

The Bulls have to either bring Asik back or risk losing him (and replacing him with first-round pick Nikoa Mirotic). They have to try and find room to improve the team without throwing their chemistry, which has been incredible, away. Or do they? Do they hang with what they got and pretend this season never happened?

If I remember correctly, his contract is up after this season.
