A 4.0 for both PS2 and XBOX versions. I have only played 15-30 minutes of the game and while it was no NBA Street I did not see it getting a 4.

It definitely did not deserve that low of a score. I think the games more addicting than NBA Street, and I liked NBA Street. I think it's a great game.Comment

I just picked up the XBox version tonight.
So far I like it... kinda. I'm not sure yet after 6 or 7 games. The fact that you can customize your soundtrack is great... hoops was meant to be played with Tenacious D and Gorillaz blaring in the background.
The gameplay isn't bad, but isn't great either. It seems very random as to when I can make contact while playing defense, when I can block a shot, when I can get a rebound. Doesn't seem to be much skill involved... just luck.
The offense, on the other hand, I really dig. This is the first game where I can actually complete an alley-oop when I want to, and I love the passing. The animations on the spins and cross-overs are a bit long, but I can live with that.
I'd give the game a 7.5 based on initial impressions.Comment
