    How Should the Lakers Rebuild?

Let's be honest, this year was probably the last chance for the Lakers to win another championship in the Kobe era, that is unless they can make some key off season changes. This season has been a roller coaster to say the least and the question is: who goes and who stays? I'd prefer Gasol to be the one to go unless the Lakers were able to get a great deal out of Bynum. This probably isn't going to happen but if they could trade Bynum for Deron Williams and Brook Lopez the team's title hopes could be revitalized. I think Bynum's departure is meant to be since he doesn't show any commitment (especially with comments like "I'll play anywhere." and "There's a bank in every city.") and the drama is just too much. Here's some of my ideas:

Trade Pau Gasol to either Houston or Minnesota and try to get Scola along with other pieces or Beasley and others such as Wesley Matthews and maybe a pick or two. Use the amnesty on Metta World Peace and sign Goran Dragic. Don't give Sessions a contract extension (I love the guy but the upgrade at the position wasn't big enough.) Keep Jordan Hill but get rid of Blake. Unless they could get a great deal out of it I say keep Bynum.

    Any thoughts?

Dang, Sessions has played 23 games for yall and you're ready to kick him to the curb?

No PG is going to have that big of an impact with what Mike Brown does and with Kobe demanding the ball so much.

Well he was a good pickup in my opinion and I'd hate to see him leave but I think he was just a temporary upgrade. Besides, if the Lakers tried to aim for an elite point guard (possibly Deron Williams or Rondo) there'll be no need for him unless he's just used as a backup but I'd like to see some playing time for Goudelock so he can develop. I wouldn't mind seeing Sessions as the starter with Goudelock backing him up but I'd still prefer and better point guard and one that doesn't shy away in the playoffs (kind of harsh to say considering Sessions played in only his first playoff appearance) but I don't believe he's the way to go.

This better suited for the Lakers team thread in the subforum.
