how about players learn to hit jump shots to make the scoring go up?

Take away the 3 pt line. This will make players move up and down the court much more. They'll be more likely to show some activity near the basket instead of guys just milling around the 3 pt line and making shots they have no chance of getting.

I don't think that there anything the NBA can do really. It's up to the players, coaches, and teams to do that. Guys can't really shoot now a days. They are much more athletic, but the shots just aren't going down.

If the NBA really wants to help with scoring, they should get everyone in the NBA a shooting coach to work with them throughout the year and the off season.

Coaches need to setup better systems to crack the zone and other types of defenses out there. That's why the Mavs have such a good offense. Other than the huge amount of talent they have, Nellie is a wiz at getting guys looks and using what he has. All coaches need to work on this more.

No way. You would be taking out SO much of the strategy and fun of the game by doing this. Its too extreme a change. However, I will reach middle ground with you by saying to only allow three-pointers after a certain minute each quarter, probably the two minute mark. Might help though I would pray for a better solution with much less sacrifice.

i just realized the funniest thing...
in the raptors game against the Mavs, the OU college football team in that game against texas A&M(77-0) had more points.Now if that doesnt summarize how pathetic the NBA is, this will. Vince Carter 24ppg..rest of team..7ppg.
