I can't see it happening because there is no way Dolan lets Lin walk and lets all of that money go with him. But if it does, there won't be enough gifs in the world to show how disappointing that would be.

This may not be it but I heard that if Asik and Lin sign with the Rockets then they can restructure the contracts to 8-8-8 instead of 5-5-15...I think that is it.

What sense does that make? So they can sign him to a sheet that cripples us, and there's nothing we can do about it, and then just change it? That is incredibly stupid.

                    Here's the tweet.

@KCJHoop: Good point by @BullsBlogger. Forgot if Bulls don't match, Houston can spread Asik's 3-yr deal into $8.3M/yr for cap purposes. Still . . .

                    Same thing for Lin

I've gotta assume that if the Rockets get Lin and Asik, they wouldn't have the cap space to complete the Dwight Howard trade. What are they trying to do here?

Assuming his knees don't revert back to a bag of potato chips, which since he'd be going to Cleveland, we all know that's exactly what would happen.
If Dwight got traded there, I believe they have his Bird Rights. Which means they can offer him more money than anyone else. It also could have them to do a sign and trade and get something back for Dwight next offseason.

If HOU didn't think it would have the $ go after Dwight. They would of rescinded the Linn and Asik offers and not amnesty Scola.

If Houston wants to be competitive in the future, these are moves they shouldn't be making...this could potentially end up like a Pistons situation with Gordon and Villanueva. If they end up like this:

                            Lin
                            Martin
                            Parsons?
                            Jones
                            Asik

                            Not a playoff team IMO

In positive Knicks news, Alan Hahn:

Meanwhile, the Knicks have confirmed they did not match the Toronto Raptors offer sheet to Landry Fields.

If the reports are true...then good riddance Lin.

He's not worth $25M. His little diva act has grown tired. I hope he's the toast of the town in Houston.

I'd rather spend the money on Felton and Ronnie Brewer.

We're chasing a championship not some grand marketing scheme.

When we play Houston...we're gonna tear him apart. I support the Knicks on this move wholeheartedly.
