The Hawks are the prime example of this, they had a lot of good players but unfortunately in the NBA a lot of good players won't win you a championship.

I would love to see Phoenix make some noise out West, I just don't see it with this group of players, right now they're the 4 seed best case, if some of those many draft picks can be impact guys they may be in good shape but with most of those picks being late odds are they'll land more guys that are capable of being good NBAers but not stars, hopefully they will because like I said I would like to see the Suns have some success I just don't see it with this core in todays NBA.

Man, if my team has to chance to go for a superstar level player, which is needed to go to that next level, I'm all over it. Getting into a treadmill situation to maintain some noble sense of building up "like they used to do" does nothing for me.

As a Bulls fan who survived the Tyson Chandler/Eddy Curry/Jay Williams/Ben Gordon/Chris Mihm, et al years, I'd much rather be a middling playoff team with someone to root for, than a team that completely sucks, and the only thing I'm hoping for is that we get a Kevin Durant, not a Greg Oden.

Mayo is an OK defender? Maybe under Phoenix's defensive system...

Was hoping the Mavericks would go after OJ. Make him 6th man to somewhat replace Terry.

Your team won't get a Kevin Durant as a middling playoff team.

He's not very good, no. But Elston Turner (the "defensive coordinator") is a pretty good coach. With actual talent to coach, I wouldn't be surprised if Mayo became better or at least passable.

But Mayo isn't going to Phoenix. He's under a delusion that he's worth more than 8 million dollars a year.

Yes that distinction should be for the Bobcats (if there is another KD out there) but seeing how things are going Orlando will be given the #1 pick again before we get a sure fire great #1 pick.

The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

Eh? He didn't say he would get a Kevin Durant with a middling team. He said he would rather have a middling team with someone to root for as opposed to having a team that sucks and the only hope to have for that squad is that you land a Kevin Durant at some point.

                                On Lin's thought process:

“He did not see this happening,” Peter Diepenbrock, Lin’s coach at Palo Alto (Calif.) High School, told Yahoo! Sports. “He sounded surprised. He loves the New York fans. To have the experience that he had for the two months and for that to be over with, that’s quite a shock to the system. I think he really believed the Knicks would match whatever offer he got.”
