The Lakers are improved for three reasons.

      1. Dwight will bring it ever night (love or hate him) unlike Bynum who has a tendency to mentally check out when things don't go his way early. Or worse behave like a big ******* baby.

      2. Pick and Roll defense Bynum is just completely lost when they switch.

      3. Howard covers more area when protecting the rim than Bynum. Which should help old man Nashy.

Other than that this isn't a great up grade over Bynum when both are healthy. Bynum is actually a better post scorer, but now that they are keeping Pau that's really not that big of a "L" for the Lakers. Keeping Gasol makes this a really good trade for them.

Hey guys just because a team is favored doesn't mean they'll win (see Heat vs. Thunder this year or Lakers versus the Piston at the end of the Kobe/Shaq era).

I'm pretty sure any true NBA fan can attest to that or have we so quickly forgotten what has happened to juggernauts in the past? Nothing is guaranteed in the NBA in the past 30 years you can probably name half the titles that were just WTF moments?

I'll say this there's nothing wrong with being excited it's natural, but don't go proclaiming any kings before they receive a crown otherwise you'll find yourself looking like a damn fool at the end of the day.

He needs to be more consistent, he disappeared too many times during games. I always had to remember that this was his first full year as a starter.

I'm not saying he's bad, He is already a proven PG, bump up the assist totals and more 3s in clutch moments and you got yourself a contender

His worse season this year was still better than Bynum). If Lakers lose it will be because Kobe wants to be Kobe and ends up shooting 43% or worse again this year.

But back to Nash. People really do not understand how great that guy still is. He pretty much made no name guys on the suns actually good the last 3 years. Look what he did on PnR with Gortat. Now you going to have PnR with howard or Pau? Yea that is going to be killer and no one is going to stop it. Sorry if people actually think they are going to stop it, because they aren't.

That's why I hate the Suns owner and gm. They know nothing and just gave the Lakers a top 5 pg. Heck makes me wonder if Stern said we will get a first overall pick next year or the year after lol.
To be fair, I'd hardly call Gortat a "no name guy". Dude is a really good player, I like his game a lot.

Well unless you meant in the literal sense. He isn't exactly a household name, but true hoops fans know he isn't a bum and has a real nice game.

But I definitely get what you're saying.

Dunno if its entirely accurate, but summed up quite nicely none the less lol.

I think Nuggets made out great.

Lakers first in the trade. Nuggets 2nd. 6ers are 3rd but I really don't like that trade. I think Bynum is just overrated and Heat going to expose 6ers pretty bad without Iggy out there defending and Bosh making Bynum come chase him to 3 point land. But for now 6ers trade is ok.

Magic trade, well huh, well, does anyone here on OS play bball? If so I can be your agent and I'm pretty sure I can get you on the Magic roster!
