True but by comparsion Benson completely trumps Shinn so I doubt you'll get many complaints for Hornets fans.

What do you believe will happen with Ramon Sessions, He was Quoted that he is happy in LA and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

The Center position is continuing to weaken as the days pass, guess the Hornets will just need to bring back Aaron Gray for a year.....

Also glad to see Brandon Bass get a nice contract

We shouldn't rush anyways. We should focus on handling this Gordon situation and getting maximum value.

Oh fully aware of that, and anything they get this year is fully short term anyways unless they pull of some sort of trade. Just haven't seem them show any interest besides to guys like Roger Mason and Nick Young(Batum too but he's staying in POR or off to Minny)

Not many centers out there to begin with. If we move Gordon to the Suns would like to see us bring in Houston and we can sign Donatas M.

                    Give us more details.

Also, I can't imagine the Lakers keeping Barnes around if they sign Hill. They will need another guard to back-up Kobe. And what happened to Troy Murphy?
as far as the main parts to the trade i proposed, alot of ppl are presuming that steve nash will rejuvinate Pau Gasol career, and im sure he could. But if its 1 thing that Pau proved last yr, it was that he is not the most comfy playing predominately at the high post area all the time. add to the fact that Pau's personality is not very aggressive by nature; hanging out at the free throw area waiting to be involved in the offense only lends itself to him falling into being a passive player.

the fact of the matter is that the Lakers as a team need more shooting and spacing out on the floor. So 4get the fact that Pau is a better player in total than Ryan Anderson and just ask yourself what will Pau be asked to do for this team that Ryan cannot do or do better with this current Lakers makeup. Ryan provides more spacing and has a reliable jumpshot all the way to the 3pt line. add in the fact that on offense MWP very rarely comes inside the 3pt line and now the floor is completely spaced to take advantage and maximizes what it is that makes Nash so great, plus it opens things up for Kobe and Dwight.

so now you have an offense that is effective on all 3 levels of the floor (paint, midrandge, 3pt line). 1st you have Dwight owning the paint, where the double going to come from beside MWP? and even if you double Dwight you still have KB and Nash being gaurded 1 on 1. so back to the PnR. With Nash being prolly the best pure shooter in the NBA, how is the rest of the league going to defend the Nash/Dwight pick in roll with Kobe and Ryan Anderson on the floor at the same time? you really cant. not to mention you can run pick and pop with Ryan. and maybe even PnP with nash and Kobe. Not to mention you can run pick and roll with Kobe having the ball and Nash becoming another shooter.

2nd, Kobe owning the the middle of the floor. again wheres the dbl-team coming from with Nash, Dwight, and Ryan on the floor.

3rd. Nash freelancing. Now due to the spacing on the floor that Ryan provides and the fact that Metta never moves off the 3pt line, the middle of the floor is now completely open for Nash to do his signature thing. whether that means shooting, dropoffs to Dwight, setting up Kobe, or drive and kickouts for 3. all of this is now possible because of the space that Ryan provides to a much greater degree that Pau provides. and since this roll is at the heart of Ryan's game theres no lack of focus on his part.

Add in the fact that whatever money the Lakers save by swapping Gasol for Anderson could now be used to help pay and bring back Barnes and Hill. plus they would still have the mini mid-level exception to work with as well. Plus they still have the amnisty incase they had to accept J.Rich or Turk's contracts to make the numbers work.

from a defensive perspective Grant Hill, and Barnes, can on a limited basis help offset guys like Harden and Manu terrorizing the 2nd units of the league. not that they can stop them but they can keep the bleeding in check while the starters get their rest. basically from a team function standpoint this lineup that i proposed works to every single player on the courts strenghts.

say what you want about Mike Brown, but from a defensive prospective he proved his worth in the Thunder series, so if you give him Dwight then i have the utmost faith that he could put together a gameplan defensively that could win a title. throw in an offensive that could easily avg 100pts/g and im not worried about defense at all.
