Other than the contract, what don't people like about Landry Fields? Cause his numbers do seem to be fairly good.

His career average would have his FG% in top 10(last season) in NBA for all SF, made all rookie team just a year ago, and obviously would have had more shot attempts had he not been buried behind Carmelo and Amare.

He should be averaging about 2-3 more FG attempts per game than he did in New York, and with a FG% like the one he has, I expect he'd get around 13-14 points per game(which would be 3rd,maybe even 4th on Raptors starting 5, behind DeRozan,Bargnani and maybe JV)

That he failed to show up in two straight playoffs

That he didn't improve in his 2nd year

That his Knicks role seems to be his ceiling

Hopefully those will be proven wrong in Toronto.

Would have gladly taken McGee & Young at their current contracts, too bad their perception of their worth was so inflated when they were in DC.

Couldn't NY just sign Lin, keep him for two years and look to move him for the third season? I would like to think somebody would pick up a decent player and also have $15MM come off the books at the end of the year.

Why did I see on Fox News Chicago, that the Bulls will sign Vladimir Radmanovic,.

Anybody know if its true?

According to CSN's David Kaplan, the Bulls have signed veteran Vladimir Radmanovic to a one-year deal. Radmanovic confirmed to Kaplan that the one-year deal will be officially announced on Thursday. CSN Chicago

Tornike Shengelia just wanted a chance to prove his worth. In the process, he earned a roster spot. A source told The Post Wednesday that Shengelia will sign a two-year deal with the Nets, completing an improbable journey over the past few weeks from draft night afterthought to earning a roster spot with an impressive showing for the Nets entry in the Orlando Summer League last week.

I thought he looked good in summer league, but I wasn't sure he'd get a deal. I thought Al Thornton would.

-One of the lowest bball IQs for a starter in the league
-Completely shell shocked when he was on the floor with Melo for some strange reason

I actually think Fields can be a decent player in the right system. If a team likes to get up and down in transition..he'll be fine. I think he'll max out at 12PPG.

This. We've seen Landry Fields, IMO, at his best in his rookie year, hustling for rebounds and getting out in transition for easy buckets. Not a very good player to have in a half court offense, doesn't have a great handle or jump shot and often makes poor decisions. He's not terrible, but he is what he is and I wouldn't expect that to change much in the future.

Yeah because everyone is looking for a 15 million dollar player, there are the two scenarios, one Lin plays well and there is no possible way NY can trade him without upsetting the fans, or two he sucks and there is no team willing to take his 15 million dollar contract either way the Knicks have to pay 40-50 million dollars in the third year for a single player.
