Going to be interesting to see Andrew Bynum with the Flyers. We can only hope that Andrew Igoudala is worth it for the Nuggets.

I think Iggy can provide an all-around player. He isnt a scorer, but he can get a triple double if he goes for it.

Why would Denver want Iguodala though? They have Gallinari at the 3...unless they plan on playing Iguodala at the 2? He would be an upgrade over Afflalo if so. I dunno, we'll see if this happens. I'm skeptical.

          http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/82520 ... very-close

A four-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers is "very close" to happening and could be agreed upon Friday, league sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

In the proposed four-team deal, Howard and Denver Nuggets forward Al Harrington would go to Los Angeles, Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo would go to the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers guard Andre Iguodala would go to Denver and Lakers center Andrew Bynum would go to Philadelphia.

Earlier Thursday, Yahoo! Sports, citing sources, reported that talks of a four-team trade involving Howard have taken place this week and have "grown serious."

The proposed scenario also includes the Magic receiving draft picks and salary-cap relief, the sources told Yahoo!

Near the end of July, Howard met with Magic general manager Rob Hennigan and reiterated that he still wants to be traded, and if he isn't will leave the team as a free agent after next season.

The Lakers' position on Howard has remained relatively unchanged for the past few months, league sources familiar with the situation have told ESPNLosAngeles.com. The Lakers always have been willing to trade for Howard without assurances he'd re-sign with them after the season, believing that once Howard experienced a championship culture he would want to stay.

Information from ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard and ESPNLos Angeles.com's Dave McMenamin was used in this report.

It's on sports center right now that deal is very close to getting done.

You mean Brook Lopez on a max deal for 4 years is better than 2 years of Gasol. Orlando isn't a destination for free agents so Gasol getting paid 19 million for 2 years isn't that bad.

If we get Bynum, Im praying he doesn't turn into Derrick Coleman. If he does, please make the turn this season so next season we can cut loose ends instead of committing to a bad contract.

Why do the lakers think they need Howard? I must be crazy to think Lakers are better off with Gasol and healthy Bynum. If anything get rid of Gasol and keep bynum.

Remember last month, when a deal was "almost close" and "a deal should be completed in the next 24 hours" and "this deal should be done by the end of the week"?

                    Just saying.

Exactly. When the trade is officially announced, I still won't believe it. Until I see Dwight holding up another jersey, I fully expect him to be a part of the Magic.

Unless 32 year old Harrington starts playing like 28 year old James Worthy the Lakers will probably be worse as a basketball team, but in terms of the entertainment value

I'd love for howard to get traded there and then leave at the end of the year. I'd be a very happy man if that happened...

I thought Orlando's stance all along was that they wanted cap space for next year and draft picks.

Acquiring Gasol goes completely against that logic.
