Re: Team USA Men's Olympic Basketball 2012

I agree with Pack, The USA is light years ahead of the other teams and they should be able to blow out the other teams easily. I don't know why EX thinks it's arrogant. The other nations are getting better skill wise but USA's combination of athleticism and skill is too much for any team in the Olympics. I think this even knowing the weakness of the USA team...

Well Kash, not everyone in life is going to agree on things. One day I hope you might learn that.

I don't know why you would think I don't already know that.

I have my opinion on your opinion, it's really simple man. Your story is really irrelevant here.

That's fine that you've watched, again I didn't just go out and say you guys haven't been watching the other games.

Lithuania, Russia, Brazil are the teams that I believe can give them a stiff challenge outside of Spain/Brazil.
But nobody called your opinion, arrogant, lol. You're back tracking. You can have your opinion and we can respect it. You call others opinion arrogant and you'll get a backlash... especially when you have nothing to back that thought besides it being different than your opinion.

Na man, I'm not backtracking at all. I never said anyone called my opinion arrogant nor do I care. I respect everyone's [most of you] opinions always. Just because I think someone's one view on a topic is arrogant doesn't mean a thing. I'm honestly not sure where you're going now..

Again, you question what I have to back my view. I have explained in nearly every one of my posts as to why I think USA will have some challenges and why I think people are being a bit bold/arrogant in their predictions/expectations.

            How am I backtracking

We know why you think the US will be challenged... that's not why you think someone's opinion is arrogant. You could just disagree without labeling it arrogant but that's what you did, so there has to be more reason to it than your opinion or else its pretty arrogant to call someone else's opinion arrogant based only on what you presented.

I'm not going anyway, just showing you the issue with what you said. Generally saying the opinion is arrogant in this situation is assuming the statement was only made bc America is great and should destroy anyone all the time. It'd be arrogant to make that assumption based on what's happened years ago or on the basis of the country. But that's not the case here. There's reason to believe they will blow all these teams out. Considering that, if you still think the opinion is arrogant then the lack of respect is coming from you and directed at everyone else's knowledge of the teams participating.

OK, so the issue is me calling Pack's statement arrogant? Alright Pack, I'm sorry man, again, wasn't trying to start any funny business

I don't think Pack took offense to that, but if he did, again, I'm sorry. I should have worded my disagreement nicer. I didn't mean to lack respect or anything of that nature like Wwharton apparently is asserting.

Seems like you're makin more of this than was originally intended, but hey, do what you gotta do.

You say there's reason to believe USA will blow everyone out= your opinion
I say there's reason to believe USA will not blow everyone out= my opinion

I think the first opinion is a bit unfair. Is that a better word, man?

Just a sign of the inexperience outside of our NBA players. But to be that close to Spain is a good achievement.

It would not surprise me if Kash suddenly started cheering for Nigeria with the way Kobe has started off.
