New Jersey Nets begin their take over of New York by relocating to Brooklyn

Play song, and listen as you read along the script:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK4h9xR7Dec

Starting in the 2010-11 NBA season, the Nets began their conquest of New York. With the move to Brooklyn already in progress, the Nets owners Mikhail Prokorhov and Jay-Z, a duo of geniuses, combined for the 'Blueprint For Greatness'. The first step in this blue print was to destroy the New York Knicks, and they did just that. To accomplish this goal, the Nets pursued All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets. This garnered attention from the Knicks, aswell, entering their draw into the Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes. Throughout the season, this would be known as the 'Melo-Drama'.

Come February, the trade deadline approached, and the New York Knicks succeeded the Melo-Drama. The Nets were not worried though, as it was all a strategic effort for the Knicks to come right in and lose all of their resources and talent to obtain this star. This 'Heads I win, Tails you lose' strategy by the cerebral Nets owners tarnished the feeble minded New York Knicks, who were more concerned with being on the front page than winning games.

Why 'Heads I win, Tails you lose?' - because if the Nets had gotten Melo, they would have be better than New York, also. Just look at this offensive juggernaut lineup the Nets would have ended up with if they had in fact obtained Carmelo Anthony:

    1) Chauncey Billups
    2) Rip Hamilton
    3) Carmelo Anthony
    4) Kris Humphries
    5) Brook Lopez

Although no longer to be considered a dream team, the Nets acquired All-Star point guard Deron Williams from the Utah Jazz. A big building block for the Nets in the future. Knicks gave up a lot of talent for Melo, Nets gave up not so much for D-Will.

When you get bit by a cobra, you do not die instantly - it takes time for the venom you were injected with to eventually bring you to your death. The Knicks getting Carmelo Anthony was like a cobra bite and now, 2012-13 season - Brooklyn Nets, with a new team, and new attitude are in New York ready to bring the Knicks down.

The NEW JERSEY Nets did not come to New York to play - they came to TAKE OVER. The invasion has begun, and soon Manhattan will be Black & White!

You do know the Nets were in Brooklyn during the ABA and then eventually moved to Jersey? It's more of them going back home than invading.
Am I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next week

The sad Truth about the Nets is that as long as there is a Miami Heat, a New York Knick team, or maybe a healthy Chicago Bull team the Nets will never be contenders. A team with overpaid players do not win championships (Gerald Wallace, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez)

Brook Lopez contract is 60mil for 4 years right? if so hes overpaid. Brook is worth like 10mil in my opinion

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. That stood out to me more than what he said afterwards in that post.

This is an OS first right here.

He's a decent big, not the greatest but he's got the 60 million dollar contract because it's hard to find and keep good/decent bigs (EX: Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett & Al Jefferson) and to keep him in Brooklyn hoping that he doesn't decide to go to LA or Miami to pursue a championship and become more valuable to a contender or a championship team.

Don't forget about Boston on the list of teams that will deny the mighty Nets glory. They will reload after Garnett and Pierce finally bite the dust and retire just like the Lakers will in the West after Kobe, Nash and Gasol all go in the next 2-5 years roughly.

False. There is no mention of them playing in Brooklyn EVER prior to this upcoming season. It was Long Island, NY.
