    Thanks for the optimism man.

+1 on the AD reference. Obviously you have individual strides to make ... but I have to believe this guy comes back smarter, stronger and better than before. This guy is special, don't know how you can count him out.

He is I think the most hardworking guy in the NBA so I think he can get back to his old form but I think he will be smart enough to reduce being aggressive and be more of a passer so he can reduce too the chance of being injured.

As long as he doesn't try to push it & come back too soon and is not completely healthy, he should be alright. But if he isn't, he could **** up his career like Grant Hill did.

I don't know about that... I saw Peterson get caught from behind for the first time ever this past weekend... I mean ever.... I was shocked lol. But could understand. But as much as people might say AD is back. He's still not the same. And I think everyone can see the little things he's not sharp yet at. I also think AD is not human. But that's different lol

But in Derricks case. I hope he takes it easy on his return. When is his return date?

Nah, AD is back. His cuts he makes right now are what he was doing pre-injury. His speed, maybe effected a little but he got caught after 78 yards and making like 4-5 cuts in the process.

Also, there is no timetable for Rose's return. They are playing it by year. Hopefully he doesn't come back at all. Don't want them to rush it for short term gain.

Same means MVP type or at the very least ELITE numbers.

Name an NBA player who played on an elite level and returned to elite level after an ACL.

Is Jordan's broken foot the same as an ACL?

Grant Hill wasnt the same. T-Mac wasnt the same. Shawn Livingston?
                Chris Webber wasnt the same.

Hardaway came close for a couple of sprinkled seasons w/ 20 and 8+ assists.

                "Technology has gotten better!"...........yeah right.

Jamal Crawford, Al Jefferson, Al Harrington, David West, Baron Davis all bounced back pretty well

Kendrick Perkins has to have one of the quickest recovers from a torn ACL ever

You sure you're talking about Adrian Peterson that plays for the Vikings or the Adrian Peterson that used to play for the Bears? LOL

If he does come back this year, it will probably be after the All-Star break. Thibs gave a status on Rose before the game and said he started making cuts on his moves. He said he's not ahead of schedule nor behind schedule. He's right on schedule. What that means, I have no idea.

Not ACL related but I remember when Jason Kidd had Microfracture Knee Surgery(which has changed/ended plenty of NBA Player's Careers and is almost as, if not more difficult to recover fully from)in July 2004 and was back on the floor by December, looking like he didn't miss a beat that year. One of my favorite Nets seasons too BTW.

Now granted, his game was predicated on Athleticism, but I would think that there has been some advancement in Technology or at the very least, alot better then what it was 15-20 years ago.

Grant Hill wasnt the same. T-Mac wasnt the same. Shawn Livingston?
I thought Grant Hill had Ankle Issues and didn't Shaun Livingston blow out his knee completely? I can't think of too many athletes that have even returned to half of their old self dealing with an injury like that.
