Men Lie. Women Lie. Numbers...? Round 1

Ok, I've wanted to do this for awhile but was afraid of getting flamed -- so I copped me an internet forum flame ******ant suit and bought some heart from my local Wal-Mart (FYI: No Wally Worlds in Germany lol). I'm going to post the career stat lines of two random players -- no awards, no game highs, no rings -- and want to see who is the better play just on stats. We all know we have to 'look' at a player to get the full story but this is something to do for fun. After about a week or so I'll drop the player's names. If you figure out the stat line please don't ruin it for others. Alright, so here we go -- don't over think this -- which guy do you think (or like) better based on stats.

Like player 2 better. Seems more all-around to me. Definitely shouldn't take those 3s

      #2.

He's only scoring 3 points less while shooting a much worse 3 point %. What he doesn't give you on offense, he makes it up by hitting the glass hard. Steals and blocks at a better clip to. Gives you more possessions. Just a better overall player.

Can't wait to find out who they are. #2 seems like an 80s player to me. A James Worthy-type.

If these guys are still in the league then I'm pretty sure I have an idea as to who they are.. And if I'm right I would take player 2 without question

Someone is lacking some reading comprehension skills.

AND didn't even have the courtesy to put it in a spoiler.

              For shame Kash. For shame.

Thread had potential until somebody wanted to be THAT guy and post the names without using Spoilers at least.

Jerzey, post some more numbers since these were revealed as to who they belong to.

The numbers are not telling the full story. Where do these guys like the ball? How do they react to the double team? Do they box out? Do they cut? How do they work with their teammates? How well do they implement their coach's specific gameplan? On court deameanor? The questions go on and on.
Of course, I do know who these mystery players are. The comparitive playoff numbers interest me a bit more.

Too bad that Kash decide to ruin the first example of players, but the idea of the thread is good. Gotta add another pair of players.

I would have choosen player #2 but I've always liked more of an all-round game over pre-dominantely offensive minded player.

Eh.. i really cant assess a comparison by simply looking at the numbers... The effectiveness/ and the circumstances matter a lot more in my world .. I mean the 6th man of the year can be a lot more impactful than the 12 leading scorer in the league. In the same toke they can also be better .. Idk that's just how i look at things.
